About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Maesteg sports centre is very welcoming and provides its members with a variety of classes to suit everyone. I attend classes a couple of times a week especially in the winter months, it gets me out of the house on dark deary days and I have made many new friends.”

“I attend Gentle Mobility and Cradiac Rehabilitation classes with Sue James and find it excellent. Friendly class and well trained trainer. If in the app easy to use & book classes & quick to sign in at reception desk.”

“Been going to leisure centres for a long time and i can say this is the best one by a mile. Wonderful staff very friendly and helpful, Very clean throughout the complex and change areas always spotless. These facilities are only as good as the staff and I can say that all the staff i came into contact with were brilliant.....caring and helpful with enquires and info on facilities ...staff on front desk were always welcoming and cheerful with a smile and such a nice way to start your visit. Due to a change in where i live will be unable to go as often but will still make an effort to visit now and again to see the staff and the lovely visitors i came across when i used to go very often”
