About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Pleasant, helpful reception staff. Very useful App. Lots of variety of activities to chose from. Cheerful, professional staff (Sian, Nikki, Ffion). Generally clean and tidy facilities. Very useful cafe to have a break between gap in classes. Some issues with ability to park in car park…. so busy, not enough spaces for number of people attending, particularly mid morning sessions. Even more of a concern when Medical Centre opens, further restricting availability of spaces”

“I've only used the gym so far, the facilites are excellent. The staff are very professional and readily give advise on how best to used the different training aides. The opportuniy to freeze the subscriptions for a period of time is helpful too.”

“Staff are super friendly, there isn't really issues with the gym other than it could have more strength training as the weights room is a little small. However trained here for a number of years, it's a good gym and met some fantastic people.”
