About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Excellent facilities, the staff are always polite & welcoming…advice is always available…not previously being overly comfortable in gyms, I now look forward to each session, whether it be the group activities, or just some training alone…top facility”

“Lots of classes to choose from, and if you can’t book because it’s full, you can go on the waiting list and they’ll email when a space becomes available. And if you don’t turn up you get a strike. Very fair.”
