“There was an issue with this order in that the delivery company took the consignment to Shneffiled whne they should have delivered it to Southampton. The error was in the Postcode in that it had be written as S18 2FWQ - ie the letter O was missing. However, this was preceded by the word SOUTHAMPTON WHICH should have alerted the carrier. I was advised by email on the Friday, last week that the congnment had been delivered but I could find it nowhere. Thisa was finally resolvewd and delivered yesterday.No email was sent that it was out for delivery nort that iot had been delivered. Luckily IU went around the back of the house and found in the evening. Probably not your fault. Wine is excellent and I have no issues with your comnany, especaially, as you have offered to refund the postage charge.”

“I was looking online for a particular wine I had tried recently. It showed that Frazier had that wine and I thought Idorder 3 bottles. I continued browsing and saw the quality and value of their white wines and thought that I would continue and order a box of different wines to taste and hopefully enjoy. The wines I have enjoyed so far have been beautiful with lovely taste and aromas. This is an honest review and I have to say what took the edge off was the delivery cha. He rang the bell and I answered, spoke to him and went to let him in. I live on the upper floor of an apartment of 12. The chap put the box at the gate of the gardens and left me to deal with a very heavy box.”

“Wine is fine, Delivery not so good , we waited in all day on the said delivery date and delivery turn up next day. Very poor when you are sent a delivery time and date and it is not kept or sent a message to say it would not arrive.”

“Can't rate the wine (Almaviva 2015), as I haven't yet tried this particular vintage. Price was outstanding, especially considering the scarcity and a 100pt rating from Suckling. Delivery was prompt (ordered Friday evening; despatched Monday; delivered to my front door Tuesday morning). Slightly surprised that the six bottles were not in their original wood case, but were instead packed in a flimsy cardboard carton with no protective packaging. Still, they all arrived intact, in their original paper wrapping, so the gods were with us this time.”

“The packaging was excellent, very secure to prevent breakages. Delivery took place within 2 working days. The only question I have concerns the wine itself (Marcel Martin 2021 Merlot). It is supposed to be from the Languedoc/Pays d'Oc région of France but the winery itself seems to be at Mouzillon in the Loire Atlantique region according to the label on the back of the bottle? Grateful for any enlightenment to dispel my confusion please!”

Hi Brent, Thank you for your question. So, to answer your question, French wine can be bottled in a different region to its origin. However, there are some rules that must be followed. According to the French wine labelling requirements, if a wine is bottled outside of the region where it was produced, the label must indicate the name and address of the bottler, and whether the wine is within or outside a geographical indication (GI). For wines with a protected designation of origin (PDO) or Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP), additional conditions apply. In particular, the name of the bottler may be replaced by terms subject to compliance with certain operating conditions, namely: ‘Bottled at the château or at the estate’ when vinification and bottling take place on the estate; ‘Bottled at the property’ when vinification and bottling take place on the farm and in the cooperative winery. The latter is most often considered as an extension of the wine-growing estate which partly owns it, provided that the harvests are well distinguished and vinified separately. “Your company is one of the few places I can find Poire Williams brandy. You have a great selection of products and delivery is always speedy. My only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 is that you offer bulk discounts for wine purchases but nothing on sprints which is a shame.”
