“I need to return the item & am disappointed to find that I won't recieve a full refund, 20% will be deducted”

“Very happy with the service and delivery. The mat I ordered was supposed to be 60cm wide but it actually varied from 60 to 59 along less than a metre length. As it was intended to go in a very precise 593mm recess it was a bit disappointing and I had to adapt things. Maybe I'm too fussy but I'll know next time to buy the matt first before committing to careful joinery.”

“Mat was all good, as described and arrived when estimated. I'm taking two stars for the courier they have chosen to use. Didn't bother to knock or ring the bell. They just threw it over the fence into a puddle. When we found it sometime later it took a week to dry out and be usable.”

“Quality of the materials are great, but I'm a little disappointed with some fraying on one item. Also, there was no communication post payment, and I had call up to find out where my order was a week later.”

“Ok, there were incomprehensible delivery problems (which had me tearing my hair out) with my order of plain thick rubber matting, and the matting took too long to arrive, but Richard O'Connor, The Marketing & Strategy Director at First Mats, stepped in and I finally got it. The good news is that you really can have the matting extra thick, which is what I wanted. Much rubber matting out there is flimsy and has various designs on the surface. I didn't want that, I wanted plain and 1 1/2 inches thick, for putting on the floor of a vocal booth and also under a noisy printer, etc, and that's what I now have. Please be aware though that if you order it thick, even a small rectangle of it can be surprisingly heavy because rubber is a very dense substance. Also be aware that density makes it hard to cut up (so maybe pay extra to have the company do that to your specifications), and also be aware it has a noticeably strong smell in its 'naked' state. But if you want plain rubber, that is thicker than what's normally out there, then that's what you can have.”
