“It wasn't made clear prices were excluding vat and delivery. When they got added I just gave up and accepted it so the prices look better than they are at first, but payment went through twice which they seem to have sorted, and it arrived fast.”

“Easy to order - Prompt Delivery - Extremely well packaged - Not tried the wine yet.. But hopefully should be the similar to one we had dinning out! Only complaint is courier left the delivery at the doorstep not out of sight! For an order like this would have been more cautious to leave delivery with a neighbour.”

“As the order was placed in the afternoon, I expected it to be a couple of days before it was delivered. Was very surprised and pleased when the delivery came around 10am the very next day. Impressive!”

“I was looking for Plastic Miniatures specifically (they are going in a pi?ata and didn't want them to smash!) and this was one of the few sites that allowed me to search by that and had a great selection. They were delivered very quickly and efficiently as I was sent a text on the day that specified the hour they would come. This justified the high delivery cost but I didn't need them to come so soon so would have been happy to pay less for slower delivery. I should note that most other sites I looked at had similar delivery costs so I'd still recommend drinks direct!”

To keep the delivery service as simple as possible, we only have one main delivery service for mainland UK and that is the next working day delivery service. Orders are dispatched on this service as standard. Rather than have a higher cost for an next working day delivery service and a slightly reduced cost for a 2 - 3 day service, we aim to keep the whole process of delivery easy and simple. With a 2 - 3 day service there is also the added unknown of whether your delivery will arrive on the 2nd or 3rd day, which can mean extra time waiting around for a delivery, with uncertainty on which day to expect it. I apologise if the delivery service did not fully meet with your requirements on this occasion. However we still hope you enjoyed using the drinksdirect.co.uk service and we look forward to being of service in the future.

“I ordered a 4.5lt bottle of Famous Grouse whisky for a charity auction which arrived well packaged and safely. My only gripe is that I ordered the bottle with the label in the normal position, but was sent the bottle designed to be hung upside down in a bar. I am pretty sure there was a choice and that I clicked the correct one. It arrived in a nice presentation box, so I let the label issue ride.”

Dear Lesley, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to read of the issue you have raised regarding the label being upside down on the bottle you ordered. Unfortunately all stocks of the bottle you ordered have the label upside down. The picture on the website of your ordered product also shows the bottle with an upside down label. There is currently only a US Whiskey available for purchase where there is a choice of two; one with the label the 'right way up' and the other with the label upside down. We apologise if the upside down label on the ordered bottle has detracted from your experience of using the drinksdirect.co.uk service.

“As I completed the transaction online the DrinksDirect website notified the session had expired which led me to repeat the transaction - annoying. That said, I received a call DrinksDirect confirming if the double order had been mistake. They confirmed they would process a refund immediately. Good customer service and delivery arrived when it was scheduled to do so. Thank you”

“Although the prices were not quite as inexpensive as I first hoped, the order was processed quickly, the site was easy to use, I was able to pay with PayPal, and it was delivered in a few days barring an age confirmation phone call.”
