About The Cigar Club:

Hi, my name is Paul and I’ve been in the cigar trade now for over 25 years (where does the time go?).

The Cigar Club was originally started by my father in the late 1960s, so fine tobacco doesn’t quite run in the family veins but very nearly.

We’ve been sending out cigars around the world since those days of distant memory i.e. before the dawn of the computer age. However, I know that our website offers a unique and pleasurable shopping experience.

I’ve always tried to keep the personal feel to all our transactions and like to think that the personal touch gives the The Cigar Club a unique place in the Cigar World.

Very disappointed overall. I paid the extra money for next day delivery and received the cigars 4 x days later. I sent an email complaining and asking for a refund for the extra delivery cost and didn't even get a response. The cigars have not been properly humidified prior to delivery so I have had to put them in the humidor for several days to get them to a smokeable point.

I’ve ordered for the cigar club twice as a treat for my husband and both orders he has had a problem. The first order he had three torn cigars but more worryingly was this last order he discovered not only two torn but also what appears to be something burrowing or eating his cigar. He discovered this just as he unwrapped it to smoke. He’s now concerned that he’s spoilt the rest of his collection in his humidor. I am not happy.

Ordered on the 28th May and still no sign of my cigars, no notification if they have actually being shipped and no tracking number.

The product did not match the photographs so I was a bit disappointed as I have been hunting for this specific lighter on and off for a couple of years. What I received was a solid dark (black) metal lighter rather than the chrome with black patches in the images. The one in the images, if it was ever made seems to be available nowhere.

Cigar Club stocks my favourite cigars, the selection is great, alas, this is not enough to outweigh slow as molasses delivery - takes at least 2 weeks, consistently. In fact, this request to review my most recent purchase, has arrived before my order has, made 18 days ago. I've emailed them, received a reply that they will check on it, and if' there's a problem, they would ship them out that day. Great, but that was 2 days ago and I've heard not had an update. If there was no problem... am I just to wait? If there was a problem, wouldn't they email saying - ya, sorted - sorry, they went out today? My other online store Havana House charges zero shipping when over 50 £ and orders arrive in 2 days by Royal Mail, full stop. I think my smallest order ever was 70 £, usually I average 100 £. I can't get these particular cigars at HH, but since Cigar club hasn't arrived yet - have now made a 2nd order from Havana House and am sampling a number of other brands. The cigars arrived in poor condition, very dry and in a damaged box. Due to the lack of correct storage the cigars were lacking the flavour and burn quality I would expect.

I ordered a pack of cigars for christmas for my husband. On the address label, they just put our surname on the parcel so he obviously opened it. Not happy they are labelled this way, especially when posting them out in December!

Ordered next day delivery and it took 2 weeks to deliver. Despite multiple messages, it took a week to receive a response and no apology for the delay. My payment for next day delivery was not refunded or credited. At least the order finally arrived.
