“Swytch has been great to deal with. I received the Swytch kit from my Mom after she upgraded her system. I helped install this kit originally on her Kestrel with much help from Swytch technicians. This lasted several years flawlessly. Now it's my turn using this on a vintage tandem to give my wife and I a little assist in some more difficult terrain. We love riding our tandem while out camping. Can't wait to put it in service. Thanks Swytch!”

“Already had an ebike (rear wheel drive/throttle) but underpowered for pulling trailer with 75lbs. of groceries. Bought the Swytch kit with pedal assist and now have an all-wheel drive bike that goes up 20 degree hills without speed loss. No gain in speed but powe is amazing. My original ebike is a Yukon Expedition 26 and I'm a 78 years old man without a car. Thanks Swytc for keeping me mobile.”

“I found the kit very easy to fit, I took my time and followed the instruction leaflet and found the second bike so much quicker to complete in less than an hour. To fulfil the guarantee took a while with photo’s at each stage but necessary clearly. The video of the motor in action needed a second person to complete easily. All charged up, first ride out was perfect. Been used quite a few times now and just love it. I can scale a nearby hill which is at the start of any of my rides with such ease. Love this, my wife is certainly needing it, and is very impressed.”

“2,000km and no issues. The way the pedal assist works means you feel like you are still cycling if you use your gears properly. After doing a round trip of 36km I normally have 2 bars left on the battery indicator. After a ride of 48km I was showing 1 bar. [power level at 1]”

“I initially saw Swytch on BBC tv programme Click and that gave me some reassurance that the company and products were worth checking out further and I'm pleased I did. I've only had my kit for a few weeks and I'm impressed. I did a lot of research making sure that the kit was right for my bike, I soon realised that the Swytch customer services team were on the ball and keen to help without pushing for a sale. The lead time for delivery is well communicated but it was still painful for me as I couldn't wait to get going. It was very easy to set up, lots of useful stuff on their website and also friendly people on the end of the phone. I use it daily, no issues yet, I was apprehensive about the extra weight of the battery pack on the handlebars but actually it's fine. However, my personal preference would be for the weight (1.5kg) to be on the frame's down-tube instead like on some other ebikes and perhaps next time I buy from Swytch it might be an option.”

“The Universal Pro version of the kit was straight forward to fit with excellent instructions provided. The operation of the kit is brilliant, seamlessly boosting acceleration when starting, dropping off above 15.5MPH and then surging back in again when my speed drops on an incline. I have found the quoted range of 30 miles to be conservative and regularly complete 40 mile trips with 20% battery remaining.”

“Although it took a few months to receive, I was pleased to find everything as ordered and very satisfactory. The front wheel and motor assembly is amazing to look at! I opted to buy a new tire and tube for the front wheel as it does not come with one already installed. Instructions showed removing your existing tire and tube and installing them both on the new wheel assembly. I'm sure that would have worked just fine. For me, being new to this installation process, it took a couple of hours figure out and install. The instructions seemed straightforward. I think it might be helpful to reference and even show the 6 photos and one small video required for the registration/warranty process as part of the installation process. Regarding the operation of the Swytch, it is fun and amazing! You peddle and go! And go fast! You can just barely hear the hum of the electric motor. Tight turns can be a little tricky, but I'm figuring those out. I'm still learning about the different power level settings on the battery pack, still trying to find my favorite. And I can hardly wait to see how it performs on hills.”

“I've had the kit for about a year now, and very happy with it. Took me about 2 hours to install, and all has worked smoothly ever since. I looked at full ebikes originally but decided that for the same price as the most basic ebike I could get a really decent hybrid bike and the swytch kit, and would end up with a much nicer, lighter bike that has the added benefit of being able to be used as a standard bike if required, whereas with an ebike you're stuck with it. My original intention was to use it commute to work, but due to covid I am now working permanently from work so that plan has gone out of the window, however I have no regrets as it's such a lot of fun to ride the swytch. The pack itself really works well - better than I imagined it would, up steep hills you still have to put a bit of effort in (particularly as I'm not the lightest rider!) but whereas previously I would be struggling to make it up some hills at all, I can now get up them while still pedalling seated. Given the choice I would still buy the kit now.”

“I got excited about the product specially because it does not require to buy a new bike. I didn't exactly know much about bikes, but with a little patience and help of YouTube, I finished installing it in about 2-3 hours. First time, I used it to go around the neighborhood. Since then, I used it to do some grocery shopping and go to meetings in longer distances. The furthest distance I ever went with a fully charged battery on full power with no throttle was 14 miles and I didn't run out. I am not very much in shape so I need assistance going uphill. With swytch bike, I can now make more meetings on bike and burn less fossil fuels. Also, it helps me to do more exercise by bike. It is a sweet upgrade to my life style.”

“Swytch Bike where have you been all my life! I had to stop cycle because of a bum knee and now I am back enjoying the trails on my own bicycle. I could not have asked for more and I am really glad that I took a chance on this startup company. Customer service has been beyond responsive whether I asked a question or needed a replacement part. “Amazing piece of kit, wish I'd bought one years ago. A friend with cycling knowledge had to fit it for me and Swytch provide plenty of instructions and videos to help. Even though it took a few weeks to arrive, it was worth the wait. If you can't justify the cost of an ebike and you want to keep your own bike, I would well recommend Swytch. Cycling us much more enjoyable as I get older and I've tackled a few small hills easily!!”

“I've been using my Swytch Eco equipped bike for about 6 months now. It can handle my 18km - fairly hilly - daily ride twice before needing a recharge. Now the ride takes me only 45 minutes, rather than an hour, and really takes the edge off the steeper climbs. And I find I do the ride more often than before I got the Swytch kit, because it's more fun and less slog. The kit was pretty easy to fit. The only problem I had was that I found I had no space on my handlebars to fit the thumb throttle I had ordered. Swytch's customer support refunded the cost with no problems when I sent it back.”

“I just love my Swytch bike! I bought it because I have heart and lung problems and haven't been able to ride a bike for years. The install was a wee bit challenging because of the pedal assist disc, but I was able to figure it out on the second try. For my pedal type, I was supposed to attach the arm to the pedal stem; however I removed the teeth on the extra disk and that worked perfectly without the arm. I installed the kit on a 24 inch adult trike and couldn't be happier. If you are in the USA, expect delays on delivery, but it will be well worth the wait. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a wee bit of help.”

“My partner wanted to smooth out the hills where we are on the edge of the Peak District, but didn't want to change her bike. Then we came across Swytch Bike online. I'll cut to the chase, this is an excellent e-bike conversion solution. Simple to install, easy to operate, and put quite simply, it does the job brilliantly. We ordered the Swytch kit through one of the 'pre-order' campaigns in April 2021. Delivery took a couple of weeks longer than expected, arriving mid-July 2021. Understandable given the current global disruption, and comms were great, so we always knew where things were up to. Once the kit had arrived it took 90 mins at most to fit, including mounting the new tyre, fitting the disc rotor, and sorting the wire routing. This was mainly due to the excellent instructions, both included with the kit and available online. With the battery charged up we headed out for a first spin. The style of my partners bike means the battery is quite high up, raising the centre of gravity. This felt a little odd for all of 60 seconds, but nothing after that. Riding the bike, even on the lowest power setting was a joy. The motor kicks in just enough to give that gentle assist. On the higher settings the assistance is far more noticeable, and certainly makes short work of hills, even the 10%-15% gradients we have tried so far. And on the flat with no motor assistance riding is just as easy. Yes, the bike is little heavier, but not noticeably so, and it doesn't cause a problem. We also opted for the 'black' version of the motor and wheel (as an extra), and pleased we did as it matches the bike perfectly, and if it wasn't for the battery you wouldn't really notice any difference I was slightly worried about how easy it would be to change a tube roadside if the wheel needed to be removed, but having had to deal with that now I can safely say there is no issue. Just have a 17mm spanner in your tool kit. In the end, If I could I'd give more than 5 stars, for both product and service.”

“My Swytch kit came about 4 months after I ordered it which was when I expected it. I was very excited to put it on my bike and begin riding it. Had a little trouble with the set up but customer support was excellent in helping me get it set up on my 20 year old Specialized Allez road bike which I have not ridden for a while. The first ride went on I fell in love with the Swytch. I ride about 20-25 miles 4-5 days a week and have not had any problem with the battery or the motor. I have always returned from my ride with 2 bars left so the range has never been a problem. I probably have it on assist level 2 most of the time and but when I get to a hill and switch it to level 5 you can definitely feel the motor help you as you get up the hill. The bike weighs about 18 lbs without the kit and 24 with the kit and you cant find anything close to what the Swytch can give you at the price and performance. This has changed the way I ride my bike again and can think of riding without it. You want to ride without motor, you hardly notice any change in the bike. Love my Swytch”
