This review is regarding our booking experience... We have booked online before and felt that the new system wasn’t as easy. It was frustrating having to keep doing new searches trying out different dates etc...

Booking process is straightforward but very slow

Not convinced the online links are correct. For instance I was asked for a review of the online booking process and sent to this page - doesn't seem appropriate. Also, when making the booking I selected the option that I was bringing a dog with us, but when I received the confirmation the dog had mysteriously disappeared !

Doesn’t confirm which park you’ve booked when actually paying.

Easy to use , not happy about the fact that to begin with you put how many adults , children and pets etc , and here's your price . Then at the end it's , by the way it's another £30 per pet ! Say so at the beginning!

Hi, Thank you for choosing us for your holiday and for your review. Our online booking engine was not built to work as you described in your review, and having followed the same process you made to make your booking online, we did find a bug at one stage when the applicable Special Offers and payment terms are displayed. The initial price shown when choosing the Park, accommodation category and accommodation type all correctly included the actual cost of bringing the pet, however a coding error meant that this was no included in the prices displayed at the Special Offers stage although it correctly added in at the advertised rates before. We do not know when this changed and why, your review was the first and only mention we have received about it. We have now tested and deployed a fix to this bug which is now live on our website. As a gesture to thank you for bringing this to our attention, we have removed the charge from one of your two pets on the booking and sent you a revised confirmation showing the reduced balance. We look forward to welcoming you again soon, ^kd

I found the site to be easily followed and booking was straightforward. However, I was making arrangements for my whole family and whist I was given the option to save each booking, there appeared to be no straightforward way to go into a 'saved page' and complete all three bookings under one visit. This was a wee bit frustrating and took longer than necessary having to complete credit card details three times. Your IT will appreciate this feedback. Kind regards. Bernard J Wilson.

Great amenities and accommodation, not so great price hikes on school holidays.

Feels like the park accomodation has gone downhill since we came two years ago. Reported large amount of ripped wallpaper in one of the bedrooms in our unit but they were already aware. If it wasn't busy why use the sub standard units.

Sorry, cannot rate Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park, as I haven’t stayed there yet!

Thank you for your review - in the email and when posting the review, you are kindly requested to rate the online booking experience and not the holiday itself. After the holiday you will be emailed a more detailed questionnaire which you can use to rate the elements of your stay once you have taken your break.

all my booking confirmation etc came through as 'junk' mail, even the email warning me that the confirmation email containing the pdf attachment may come through as junk mail, came through as junk mail.the holiday site itself is worth this, been many times in the past and loved it.

Staff very friendly nice place but lacks entertainment for teenagers and adults need more inside activaries pool and table tennis only one table tennis tables is ridiculous! And should have separate pool room. And a silly rule of 15 16 year olds needing an adult with them to go swimming no point of going to a holiday park if they are not allowed a little independence. Unlikely will visit again

Stayed with our touring caravan and had a nightmare. Website stated they are level pitches. Some pitches are but there are a lot that are very uneven. We had to virtually take are van off the floor to get it level and then couldn't get the awning to fit. We then had to go and spend another £160 to get a gazebo to store our things in. In fairness to the staff they did try and move us but hadn't got the availability on another pitch. This really should be stated on the website but there is nowhere that says they have unlevel pitches. The sight was clean and had good facilities but if bringing a older child that wants their independence wouldn't recommend has they have to be accompanied by an adult in all activities if they are under 16. Our grandchild was bored has he couldn't access anything by himself. He loves the pool and is a excellent swimmer but he wasn't able to use it unless we were with him. We hadn't had this issue on other parks. I do understand that there is health a safety issues that have to be considered and not all children are safe but there should be some disclaimer you could sign and there was always park staff present at all the activities. The staff were pleasant and helpful on site and they are not to blame for our issues. I feel that the website is very misleading and the points I've made should be more clear.

For starters, the email title and this generic feedback page should be sorted. They need to be clearer it's about the booking process - people might ignore it as it feels like you're asking me to review a holiday I've not had yet. Also, why am I being asked if my delivery arrived on time? You're paying a provider for this?! Overall, it was easy and straighforward to book. However... i had to do a lot of clicking and searching around your site in order to make my choices. It would be helpful to be able to click through on things like the accommodation options instead of having to leave and navigate to the accommodation pages in order to compare them, especially as options will change depending on the location and dates. It's also misleading that the accommodation photos are of the newer caravans and not the older ones, so I'm not sure what mine will look like!! I'm not expecting 5* so don't hide away the reality of what I'm paying for :) When asking me if I want to select my pitch/caravan, a link to the map PDF would be useful. I had to Google the website for Twitchen House and find the map myself. It would also help if you advised that my booking would time out, which it did several times for me because of all of the above. You defo need some proper user testing on your site! I'm sure your GA stats show people bouncing around all over the site too? Good luck :)

Tried to book on a tablet but when I got to payment page it wouldn't accept my cards expiry date, so had to do it through my iPhone which was fine.

The booking process was simple to use, however at the end of the process the site froze so I came out of the site and found that the booking had infact been actioned and an email confirmation sent to me. On going back into the frozen site I was able to continue exiting the site, only to find that it booked my stay a second time. I immediately phoned the number given and was told that yes the booking had been made twice however no refund could be actioned until the operators supervisor had been contacted. 8 hours later and I am still waiting for confirmation that the second booking has been cancelled and my money refunded to my account. Let`s hope it happens soon.
