“I was promised someone would call me to confirm delivery of my order a day before, no one called me, I tried to call was kept waiting in a que and was being advised I email and someone would get back to me ASAP I am still waiting for the call back a day later!!! I called on the day of delivery after a long wait someone answered the call didn't know if the order is to be delivered and was told will get back to me to confirm, still waiting for the call!!!!!!!!”

“My Lion Guard 3 gun cabinet arrived promptly & well packaged. It was straight forward to fit, I used my own bolts though as the wall & floor I was fitting to required slightly different fixings than those supplied. My only disappointment is that when I completed decorating the cupboard I have fixed the cabinet within, as the last job of the day I peeled off the protective plastic over the Lion Guard silver label and the whole adhesive sticker came with it, obviously there must be grease or something that the adhesive sticker won't adhere to on the door. It is not a problem but just a shame as it's now plain black with no identification that it's a Lion Guard cabinet so no advertising for them!!!”

“On Thursday 02 June there was a hyped-up sales guarranteeing that an order placed before 1600 (late that afternoon, anyway) would be delivered on Friday 03. I had an urgent need for the gun cabinet that I ordered: I had to have it Saturday 04. Today, Saturday 04 it still has not arrived. When I consulted the tracking link I saw the statement: "We have successfully found your order details, please read on for further details. Your order was placed on Thursday 2nd June 2016 and has a lead time of up to 1 working days. We estimate your order should be with you by Friday 3rd June 2016. If you have not received your order by this date, please complete the order update form below." The cabinet may well be excellent when it is finally delivered, but I could have gone out and bought a perfectly sound alternative on the spot. I was totally misled by the hype about the delivery date.”

“Just as it says on the tin. Good quality product and prompt delivery. Difficult to mark fixing holes on the wall as the hinging of the door on the single gun cabinet makes it very difficult to get a drill inside the cabinet. A paper template would be handy.”

“The delivery time was incredible it came to my door in under 13 hours The product is exactly what should be expected. however the free fixing bolts are terrible quality and puppy would be able to pull them out. This is easy and cheaply fixed i don't recommend using the provided bolts.”

“After a few hiccups and emails the gun cabinet was delivered 8 days after ordering - quoted 1-2 days on website. Delivery was unannounced and it was lucky that someone was in at the time. However, everything was found to be in very good condition so I'm happy. Fixing bolts supplied not worth having but easy to replace with superior ones. I would use again and recommend Winterfield Safes but better communication would be welcome.”

“The Safe is good with excellent delivery time. However the fixing bolts were not man enough for the job and had to buy some good qulity one. Not worth supplying the poor quality bolts. Since getting the safe I have had further dealings with Winterfield. What a brilliant company. I lost the spare key of the Lionguard Gun cabinet I purchased from Winterfield and Locksmiths were unable to source a blank to cut a spare key. Lionguard did not respond to my request to supply a blank to the Locksmith or to supply me with a spare key. Winterfield sent a NEW LOCK with keys FOC!!!! Absolutey superb aftersales service. The cabinet is fine and was delivered promptly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. John Allen”

“I ordered the safe expecting prompt delivery. I phoned the company and they said it was a 3-day service. They also said that they ordered it from Phoenix Safes, who were responsible for delivery? I presume that Winterfield are just agents/middlemen - not manufacturers? This did not inspire confidence and I had my doubts from then. I waited around on the 3rd day and it did not arrive. I had taken time off work so was not happy and asked for a refund. I was promised a refund from the company and then did not hear from them again. The safe arrived on the 7th day! I opened the box and it looked ok. However when I tried to open the safe, the the top key turned but the other key would not even go through the keyhole into the lock! I tried several times to no avail. The lock would not line up with the keyhole! As the safe was locked on delivery I could not even try to fix it myself! I complained to PayPal and raised a claim as I was due a refund because the item was not fit for purpose (Sale of Goods Act) on delivery. Eventually they decided I was due a refund and told me I had to return it to Winterfield at my own expense. My cheapest option was TNT at just short of £30 as the safe ways 22kg! I asked Winterfield for a refund of the postage and to date have heard nothing! I have spent another £30, have wasted several work days, not working! I am self employed so have lost that as well and have wasted time re-packaging the item. The delivery packaging was rubbish. I am disgusted, feel cheated, have to waste time today waiting for TNT (9-5 collection window!) and have to waste more time trying to find another safe! I will just go to a shop instead.”
