“Online sales easy to use, even given a 5% discount. Unfortunately I did not receive any delivery notice until the delivery driver call me at work. Luckily he was able to leave it in a safe place.”

“Winterfield did offer a further 5% discount on the offer price but as I was unable to claim in time i.e. within the next 24 hr., the customer service person did not entertain the possibility of any further offer.”

“I was pleased with the product and price. I initially phoned customer service who were very helpful and emailed me the information i required so as to make the correct choice of safe. Having read the delivery instruction the site said free delivery and that if the safe was over 60kg it could be taken inside and placed in a room of choice foc, it also stated that the courier would possibly contact us to inform us of the delivery. No contact was made and when the driver arrived he refused to take the safe in the house stating that he wasn't insured to do so and that he was on his own, so he left it in our garage, leaving me an o.a.p. to move the safe on my own. I have since checked your delivery page and to me it clearly states that the safe should have been taken into the house. When i rang to complain about this i was told there was a charge of £132 for this service buy an unsympathetic lady. If i didn't read your page correctly, i apologise and i am wrong in what i believed may be your delivery page should be made more clear. Unfortunately the delivery ruined the pleasant experience of dealing with your staff and company”

“Very easy to order and very fast delivery except there was no communication about delivery and courier arrived unexpected and I wasn't home luckily my mother was able to attend and luckily the courier was very helpful as a 74 year old woman isnt very good at moving a safe”

“Postage was next day which wan realy fast but there was a big chip on the cabinet when received and the logo was put on at an angle”

“Safe arrived quickly in good order. Very concerned that driver of courier vehicle was unable to manage the delivery of safe into the house as it was too heavy for him to manage. Fortunate that a workmen doing roadworks on the pavement was able to carry it for him. Safe too heavy for one man really.”

“The delivery time was incredible it came to my door in under 13 hours The product is exactly what should be expected. however the free fixing bolts are terrible quality and puppy would be able to pull them out. This is easy and cheaply fixed i don't recommend using the provided bolts.”

“After a few hiccups and emails the gun cabinet was delivered 8 days after ordering - quoted 1-2 days on website. Delivery was unannounced and it was lucky that someone was in at the time. However, everything was found to be in very good condition so I'm happy. Fixing bolts supplied not worth having but easy to replace with superior ones. I would use again and recommend Winterfield Safes but better communication would be welcome.”

“I have just purchased a Phoenix 1273E Safe from Winterfield Safes. The Customer Service on taking the order was excellent, I was told that I would be contacted to arrange a delivery date, this did not happen the delivery vehicle just arrived 2 days later. Fortunately I was in but while the delivery time of 48 hours was excellent if I had been out it would have been a wasted journey for the Delivery guy plus would have delayed delivery. Strongly suggest Winterfields should always arrange a delivery date rather than let it turn just turn up. Secondly the Safe fixings provided are too short, they are 8mm dia by 100mm long and they only bite into the raw plugs that are provided by about 12mm which is just not enough, the bolts just turn and do not tighten down. I spoke to Phoenix direct who said they were the correct fixings and the ones used in their tests. (I was securing direct to a concrete floor to maximise bolt engagement). I would question this response from Phoenix as they may well be alright for the smaller sized safes but the 1273 additional base thickness cannot possibly allow a secure fixing with the 100mm bolts with the raw plugs provided. I have purchased two 10mm did bolts of the same design by 120mm long ...the increased dia goes thro' the holes in the safe without any modification and the add'l length ensure a secure fixing into the supplied rawplugs. Two small niggles that made the difference between me giving a normal score versus a very good score. The 1273E is a great safe, I am very pleased with it and Winterfields offer a good price and good customer service in terms of advice given when making my purchase. Would recommend both the safe and Winterfields but be prepared to get delivery date nailed down and a change to bigger/longer floor fixings.”

I have made a note of the problems you listed and will ensure to raise the point with Phoenix at my earliest opportunity. As for the delivery, unfortunately, we aren't in full control of this, as the item in question is dispatched directly from the manufacturer, so the couriers they use do not always contact the customer despite our requests. “Not to impressed had to phone you four times to arrange a delivery date. Only opened door on cabinet a few times and paint is coming off”

“1 Did not receive notification of delivery date or time. 2. delivery man had problems finding the house as our house name was not on the label (we have no number) 3. the package was in good order but after we had unpacked as instructed on the out side there was a 1 inch dent on the back right corner. It was not returned(The van had left) and we did not think that the safety of the safe had been impaired . 4)I had difficulty with the ordering web site on line ,but when I telephoned the receptionist was very polite and helpful. 5) I think the safe will suit our purpose to a point but wish there was one of similar one with bigger base to takte documents bigger than A4 I hope you get this review as I do not think the previous one went through”

“Salesman jordon was most helpfull when placing my order only items were not received by the promised delivery date and took over a week to arrive after chasing the order with him, a notifcation e-mail that needed replying to from a third party( the courier company ?) was not received and I had to chase the dispatch by phone calls. combination purchase's should/could be dispatched to arrive together as requested to be signed for on one visit by one courier firm on and at an apropriate date and convieniant time for the client. GP.”

“On line purchasing was quick and confirmation email good but delivery date was 7 to 10 days and was supposed to have a phone call to arrange date for delivery but turned up unexpected on Monday am at 0820hrs. I received phone call on my mobile but was at work but delivery van was already at my property waiting for me to take delivery. I therefore had to ask driver to leave large gun safe on my drive until I returned home. Rest of service excellent B A Moore”

“I did ask if the cabinet I ordered was suitable for a rifle with scope attached, I did not receive an answer and so I have a cabinet that is not deep enough to take a rifle with scope attached. A. Bit Disappointed Thanks”
