Go somewhere else. Woeful. Delivered a week late - and only after I chased (ignored emails chasing, had to use a form off their website). Now I've been delivered a safe with a razor sharp internal edge. I've advised them twice using the email address given and zero response to date. Customer service nil. Avoid like the plague.

Winterfield Safes are the worst company I have ever dealt with. After sending a faulty item they made every excuse not to collect the safe and as such not to refund me for months. This period included times when they insisted I waited in for a day (a day I had to take as holiday at my own expense) only to not collect the item. Their customer service advisors are rude, unprofessional and incompetent... to the extent where they put the phone down on you. I have had months of lies and ignored emails and messages. Winterfield Safes are borderline criminal. Avoid like the plague!!

I was sent this review before my cabinet had arrived. I replied to your info email address saying it had not been delivered and received no reply. On phoning today I'm told my item was out of stock and wouldn't be available until March. Did anyone think to tell me this. Very poor service and I wouldn't recommend.

I placed my order on 7th Sept for delivery on 30th. It arrived but keys don't fit. They said it was a 'known fault'! They promised a replacement and collection on 3rd October. Didn't arrive . On 4th they said it was on the way and courier was close to my house. Didn't arrive. I bought a cabinet elsewhere. There has been no attempt to collect the faulty item, and in spite of multiple phone calls, emails and promises over 3 weeks, I have yet to receive a refund. So it's off to the county court I expect. My advice? Steer well clear of this lot!

Accepted my order, took payment but no safe in stock or and no idea when they could get one. Phone to check that the safe is in stock as the website does not get updated.

I was promised someone would call me to confirm delivery of my order a day before, no one called me, I tried to call was kept waiting in a que and was being advised I email and someone would get back to me ASAP I am still waiting for the call back a day later!!! I called on the day of delivery after a long wait someone answered the call didn't know if the order is to be delivered and was told will get back to me to confirm, still waiting for the call!!!!!!!!

Rubbish company, as normal another internet company with a third party supplier. Not going to be delivered on time either. I would avoid!

On Thursday 02 June there was a hyped-up sales guarranteeing that an order placed before 1600 (late that afternoon, anyway) would be delivered on Friday 03. I had an urgent need for the gun cabinet that I ordered: I had to have it Saturday 04. Today, Saturday 04 it still has not arrived. When I consulted the tracking link I saw the statement: "We have successfully found your order details, please read on for further details. Your order was placed on Thursday 2nd June 2016 and has a lead time of up to 1 working days. We estimate your order should be with you by Friday 3rd June 2016. If you have not received your order by this date, please complete the order update form below." The cabinet may well be excellent when it is finally delivered, but I could have gone out and bought a perfectly sound alternative on the spot. I was totally misled by the hype about the delivery date.

The safe was damaged when delivered. They offered to replace item and informed me that it would be done the following day (Thursday). I waited in all day, but no delivery. The following day (Friday) I spoke to customer services and they informed me that it was going to be delivered that day (Friday). I again waited in all day, but no delivery. It eventually got delivered 3 days later (Monday).Every time I phoned the company (which was several times) I had to phone an 0845 number which costs me extra. I was given false information on several occasions. Customer services could not speak directly with the delivery company and had to go through their suppliers. When I pointed out that it cost me money to phone the 0845 number, this was denied by customer services. I was not believed. When I first informed customer services that the item was not replaced and I had waited in all day for nothing, the response was 'Not a problem'. Well it was for me. At no time was I offered anything for all my inconveniences. The item was delivered damaged, I needlessly waited in for 2 whole days, I was given misinformation, was not treated with respect, not offered any compensation and the undamaged item was delivered 5 days late.

Delivered a faulty and substandard item. Now are refusing to refund until they collect, but making collection as inconvenient as they can. Woeful customer service and they clearly don't care now they have my money. Avoid unless you want to end up out of pocket.

Ordered a gun safe last Thursday. The safe arrived, faulty and was collected. Getting though to somebody on the phone was difficult, because the line just kept cutting off. I asked on the phone for an email confirmation as to when the cabinet would be collected; no email. I then emailed on Monday asking for an updated; no reply. I emailed again on Wednesday asking for an update; no reply. Chased up by phone today, (again nightmare getting through to someone) to be given an idea as the when I might receive a replacement. Had the initial order not have been faulty, I would have left a positive review because of the fast delivery, but the communication from this company is atrocious.

Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor customer service, delivery was delayed twice, management refuses to take calls, prefering to hide behind their ill mannered sales staff.

I ordered the safe expecting prompt delivery. I phoned the company and they said it was a 3-day service. They also said that they ordered it from Phoenix Safes, who were responsible for delivery? I presume that Winterfield are just agents/middlemen - not manufacturers? This did not inspire confidence and I had my doubts from then. I waited around on the 3rd day and it did not arrive. I had taken time off work so was not happy and asked for a refund. I was promised a refund from the company and then did not hear from them again. The safe arrived on the 7th day! I opened the box and it looked ok. However when I tried to open the safe, the the top key turned but the other key would not even go through the keyhole into the lock! I tried several times to no avail. The lock would not line up with the keyhole! As the safe was locked on delivery I could not even try to fix it myself! I complained to PayPal and raised a claim as I was due a refund because the item was not fit for purpose (Sale of Goods Act) on delivery. Eventually they decided I was due a refund and told me I had to return it to Winterfield at my own expense. My cheapest option was TNT at just short of £30 as the safe ways 22kg! I asked Winterfield for a refund of the postage and to date have heard nothing! I have spent another £30, have wasted several work days, not working! I am self employed so have lost that as well and have wasted time re-packaging the item. The delivery packaging was rubbish. I am disgusted, feel cheated, have to waste time today waiting for TNT (9-5 collection window!) and have to waste more time trying to find another safe! I will just go to a shop instead.

According to their website the item I required was available for next day delivery. I placed the order and I did not hear anything from the company until I called them a few days later later to find out where my item was, to be told it would definitely be with me in a few days. Over a week later I was still waiting and contacted the company again only to be told that it was out of stock! I won't be using this company again as their communication is non-existent as just left me waiting.

Received the gun safe, damaged. Informed office, asked to send picture which was done and no reply. Nothing! Would buy from another supplier when I upgrade.

Order arrived on the day promised, but the fixing bolts were of poor quality and rusty ( I will not be using them ). No paperwork, fitting instructions, or quality certificate included with the order. When attempting to take off the protective film from the manufacturers badge the badge itself started to come off with it !! Was asked by WinterfieldSafes to contact them if I was not 100% happy before writing a review, which I did via email but have had no response from them. It was my first purchase from them, it probably will be my only one.

The safe itself feels extremely sturdy, yet to fit it to the wall to give a final opinion but so far I'm incredibly impressed with it. Delivery was very quick (ordered on Sunday and delivered by Tuesday afternoon)

Batteries where 2years out of date . three had no power and where leaking . no notice given about dispatch.
