“The Camera I ordered came carefully packed and was delivered a day earlier than originally quoted. I am busy learning all the facilities of my new purchase which are more numerous than I had understood from the website. I can see that I am going to be very pleased with my new camera and it is comforting to know that help from Wilkinsons is available should I need it.”

“I’m sorry about the 3* but I bought the Pentax K30 body on-line. Your on line service was good but the product did not meet expectations and I wonder whether the product was inspected? I expected a body in used condition but not one that appears to have received some alterations potential outside of the manufacturers spec. The major alteration being a non standard focussing screen which does not operate well with the camera. The battery compartment clip is also broken. Further to this I also, surprisingly received a Canon accessory which I am returning with the camera body for a refund.”

Good afternoon, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry to see that the pre-owned item you purchased did not meet expectations. The item was a Grade C which will show small signs of use such as a small number of light marks or wear to the body and grips, but not extensive use. All our pre-owned items are fully inspected so if there is damage or a non-standard focussing screen this should have been specifically noted and graded accordingly. I can see that you contacted Customer Service yesterday and they have sent you a pre-paid return label to send this back. The camera will be re-inspected upon its return and you will be refunded and updated accordingly. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused and please be assured that our Pre-Owned items are usually extremely accurately described and graded. If this is not the case on the item you purchased then it will be addressed. Hopefully you will see that the majority of our reviews concerning second hand equipment are overwhelmingly positive and that this is a truly unusual case. I hope you will consider shopping with us again in the future. We do have an alternative Pre-Owned Pentax camera available, a Pentax K-50 in A+ (like new) condition which I would be happy to offer you at a discounted price in light of the issue you have encountered. “For the last twelve months, I have been trying to source a particular video camera and remembering the help given to me by the Kendal shop some years ago I searched Wilkinson's website to find to my joy, the very camera sought. A quick enquiry about delivery areas and assistance from Lily I was pleased to receive the camera within 5 days of my order. The help and service were exemplary and Wilkinson will be my camera shop for everything I need. Thank you for making my day.”

“Thought I was buying a Canon EF mount lens and was sent a nikon manual fit lens. They told ne it was an advertising error. Very disappointed but pleased with the way they resolved the issue and refunded my money. I guess these things happen.”
