“I was looking for a replacement for my Sony Cybershot camera that had stopped working after several years of use. I looked at several alternatives online, but was still undecided after reading lots of reviews. One phone call to a very helpful chap at Wilkinson Cameras enabled me to choose exactly the right one for my needs. I needed a camera small enough to slip into a pocket, good zoom for taking wildlife photos, ideally good macro for taking insect photos and the ability to use on manual as well as auto. Living in a rural area, I miss so many great photo opportunities at times when I can't carry lots of kit with me, so having a small but versatile camera to hand is a must. The Panasonic TZ95 fit the bill and was available as a bundle with case, memory card and mini tripod, which meant I got even better value for my money. It arrived the next day and, after patiently waiting for the battery to charge up, I took a few quick sample photos to check the camera was working ok. I was absolutely delighted with the ease of use of the camera and the quality of photos it produced. Although you can use it completely on auto, there are lots of different really useful settings so I'm going to make sure I spend time familiarising myself with the manual so that I can make the most of everything this little marvel can do.”

“Having done some broad online research looking for a decent eco-tank that could produce good quality photos I ended up on the Wilkinson Camera web site and then received excellent help over the phone before placing an order for the Canon Pixar G650. It arrived within 24hrs despite being on the 2 to 3 day delivery and I am am very pleased with the quality of the photos printed direct from my phone and from my PC. Very happy with both the printer and the service.”

“Bought the LowePro Adventura 160 after looking at many other camera bags and taking careful note of the measurements. I wanted a bag to hold my Canon 100D DSLR with kit lens attached, a spare lens 55- 250 zoom a small pair of binoculars for bird watching a the usually accessories such as spare battery, filters, end caps and cleaning clothes. I was not disappointed! This bag is the perfect size for all my equipment and is well padded while providing quick access to all my camera stuff. The fabric is waterproof and the bag has a plastic base so it wont absorb moisture off the ground. It also has detachable Velcro dividers so you adjust them to fit! The bag is excellent quality and good value for money. The two elasticated pouches at either side are extra storage I have not yet used, but I`m sure I`ll think of something! The bag arrived the day after ordering which is superb service from Wilkinson Cameras and their carrier DPD. I would recommend this bag and Wilkinson Cameras without hesitation.”

“Very efficient service from my first enquiry to receipt of the order, thank you. I was looking for a lens that was not available from my usual retailers and they could not give any estimate of availability. I eventually found one at Wilkinson Cameras so bought it. However, if I had found the item at one of my usual retailers then I would not have bought it from Wilkinson as they added almost £10 for postage to the Scottish Highlands. Delivery was by Parcelforce/Royal Mail whose costs don't increase for delivery across the country! Apart from that perennial annoyance I would still recommend Wilkinson Cameras.”

Hi David, Thanks for your positive feedback and I hope you are enjoying using your new lens. Below is some information which may help to explain why we charge more to send to certain postcodes. I'm afraid it is a common misconception that it costs the same to deliver to every area of the UK and couriers do charge more. Your postcode is classed as "Zone 2" by Parcelforce which incurs higher delivery fees and surcharges (on top of our standard parcel price). More information about the surcharges to Zone 2 and Zone 3 locations can be found on the ParcelForce website here: https://www.parcelforce.com/business-parcels/uk-parcel-delivery/understanding-prices We subsidise the costs of most our postage options to keep them competitive, but unfortunately we cannot include certain locations in the free delivery or £4.95 next day delivery options due to the extra costs involved.
