“Manfrotto tripod. Perfect item. Quick delivery, arrived on time. Well packaged. I would definitely use their Web site again. I am not the sort of customer that will give top marks, as I believe that there is always room for improvement. Real score 4.9 out of 5. Many thanks.”

“My main hobby is photography having got my first camera, a Brownie 127 for my ninth birthday in 1962. I am a great believer in buying second hand equipment and have bought quite a few cameras and lenses over the years. I have just purchased a Zeiss Batis lens from Wilkinson's and was suprised by the value, compared to the two, other, options from other used equipment retailers. The item from Wilkinson was in better condition and still cheaper, so I was very delighted with my purchase. The web experience was easy peasy and I was particularly pleased that I could buy as a guest rather than being forced to create an account, followed by loads of emails with offers etc. The lens arrived well packaged and in perfect order. I was impressed by how clean it was on opening the box, some I have bought have arrived with a layer of window dust on them. I can easily rate Wilkinson's as a retailer of considerable merit.”

“Missed the next day's delivery cut-off by 6 minutes, however, I wasn't aware of this when ordering. The next day I phoned to find out why my order never arrived. I was then informed, of the cut-off time. The item at this point wasn't despatched and I asked customer services for a refund on delivery. I was told NO. The delivery rules are displayed on the website. Wilkinson's didn't want to know and was completely unsympathetic and unhelpful on the issue. I then cancelled the £750 order (full refund) and took my business to John Lewis and bought a different camera for £1500. Wilkinson's reluctance to help cost them this sale and any future business from me. Very Poor.”

Good afternoon, Your order was placed at 3.33pm, 33 minutes after our dispatch cut off. Our collection had already been by the time your order was placed. This cut off time is clearly shown in both the shopping basket and at the checkout stages of purchase when choosing your delivery option. It is also covered on our Delivery Information page. Your dispatch confirmation email, sent just 5 minutes after your order was placed also included a note stating that the order had missed the collection for that day and would therefore be dispatched the following day. You were extremely rude on the phone to our staff members, which is why you may have perceived that they were unsympathetic towards your mistake. Regards, Wilkinson Cameras

“My wife called into your Kendal shop while we were in the Lake District to enquire if her damaged camera could be repaired. The staff informed us that it was beyond repair and would need to be replaced. After receiving settlement from our insurance company I researched on line for a replacement. Your company had the exact model needed at a reasonable price. The camera was ordered and delivered the next working day. Great service.”

“The camera I ordered, i was emailed after 2 weeks to say it was unavailable and could take another 6 weeks to get it. As this was ordered as a birthday present this was unacceptable. I contacted you and got an immediate refund. The emails i sent were responded to immediately and the customer service was excellent. The other item I ordered was then dispatched immediately and it arrived a couple of days later.”
