A wonderful opportunity to use dance to explore literature. The children loved performing as did the teachers!

The choreographer was excellent. He inspired the pupils at the beginning of the day with his own dance talents and the workshops he delivered were of a high quality. The children had fun and we will use the opportunity as a CPD activity so that the teachers can apply some if the activities into their own teaching.

The children really enjoyed the day. I did feel that there wasnt enough time in all of the sessions and could have benefited from slightly longer sessions. We invited parents in to watch the performance at the end of the day too which they really enjoyed.

We had a great day on World Book Day bringing to life the book 'The Enormous Crocodile'. The workshops were age appropriate for our EYFS and KS1 children and all children felt comfortable to join in. The staff were friendly and pleasant making the day a really enjoyable experience! Thank you :)

Wow! The assembly to begin the day was perfect on a Monday morning to inspire the workshops for the rest of the day. Every teacher came out of their class' workshop with glowing reviews. The children were all engaged and smiling throughout. The links and reference to the actual books were absolutely fantastic and Lucy did a wonderful job of bringing the books alive four our children. Thank you.

On Friday 6th March, Lizzie visited our school to deliver the workshops for A Midsummer Nights Dream. Each class had a short thirty minute workshop linked to the story. The workshops were interactive and engaging for the children. Lizzie explained the story and the parts the children were going to act out in the final performance. Each workshop was suited to the age of the children. At the end of the day the children gathered together to deliver a shared school performance. Each class acted out different parts of the story but with a modern twist. This was facilitated by Lizzie and a soundtrack. By the end of the day the children had a better understanding of the story and were thrilled to be part of the final performance. Lizzie was professional and enthusiastic throughout, she had a fantastic rapport with the children. The day was a success. My only reservations are that the cost of the day perhaps did not reflect what was delivered. For the cost it would have been good to have some props and costumes to continue to bring the play to life. Although the workshops and final performance were interactive it would have been nice to have had an initial performance from a team of actors to introduce the day.

Wonderful day with Amy. She led an exciting assembly to start the day where children loved seeing her dance in different styles. They all enjoyed her warm up and exploration of the book. She worked at a good pace and had a lovely nature with the children. A memorable experience thank you!

Thank you so much. Our children really enjoyed their drama workshop. Quotes from our children: "I liked working in groups to make parts in the story" "My favourite moment was when we got to make the sequel, because we could use our imaginations" "The orchestra of insults was the best bit" "I really enjoyed expressing peoples emotions in the story"

The choreographer was able to meet our whole school needs by using one text - The Enormous Crocodile, across year groups from Reception to Year 4. She was able to work with the children to choreograph a dance in only 40 minutes that retold the story and the children loved it!

The children absolutely loved their day! The boundless enthusiasm that was demonstrated by the facilitator was outstanding and lead to the children fully immersed in a Midsummer Night's Dream and able to retell the plot. The seamless performance at the end was a great success and enjoyed by adults and children alike. Thanks so much!

On Monday afternoon Pre-prep had the pleasure of welcoming Barbara from West End in Schools to school to help us celebrate World Book Week. We had chosen the book The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl as our theme for the afternoon and after a quick warm up session, work soon got underway preparing a short drama routine retelling the main points of the story. Each group was split into three and the children acted out either a jungle, playground or roundabout scene, incorporating actions to portray the animals the crocodile met along the way, including the hippo, monkey, roly poly bird and finally the elephant who whizzed the enormous crocodile to the moon! All the children had a wonderful afternoon acting and dancing with Barbara. Mrs Fresle

Our choreographer was brilliant - the children really respected her, she was fun and got really involved and she managed the timings of the day without too much involvement from us. The end product produced by each class in such a short time was brilliant!
