“Our whole school from nursery to P7 thoroughly enjoyed the dance workshop. The children were fully engaged throughout and even some reluctant dancers were joining in and loving the experience. The only complaint from the children was that they wanted more workshops and to have longer sessions - a good complaint to have! Thank you - the children are voting 5 stars!”

“FANTASTIC! Our children got so much out of this event! Many of them were reluctant to dance before going in, and even more of them were unfamiliar with the story of The Jungle Book. By the end of the workshop, not only could they retell the story with confidence, but they were very keen to show their performance to anyone that asked! Would definitely recommend, and we will be making this a regular part of our World Book Day celebrations!”

“The children were thrilled to join in with this workshop and I felt that it was a great way to celebrate World Book week. Good choice of book with lots of animation. Children were engaged the whole time the leader was reading. Dance was well thought out and organised for the children to understand and follow. Children were excited about the music and enjoyed performing it. Dancer desmostranted the moves clearly and easily. Overall , I thought this was a fun engaging lesson that gave children the chance to dive into the book. I was impressed with how much the children picked up within the 45 minute session. Thank you”

“West End in Schools visited us for the day within Book Week to carry out 'Bringing Stories to Life' workshops with all of our children, from Reception to Year 6. We were so impressed by our workshop leader, Ben, and by how engaging the sessions were for all children, regardless of their age. The workshops provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to take part in drama and dance alongside engaging, familiar stories and the children loved getting involved, working together, rehearsing and then performing to their class teachers. Not only was the day itself excellent, but I was also highly impressed by the phone and email communication with the company throughout the entire booking process. Thank you very much to everyone involved! We will certainly look to use West End in Schools again in the future.”

The children get an awful lot out of the sessions and the staff get ideas of ways to incorporate dance and movement into their storytelling and English lessons.”

“It was a lovely Worksop throughout the whole school. Each year group had a different story suitable for their age range and each year group absolutely loved it and enjoyed themselves. It was very interesting, interactive and exciting. The teacher was lovely and got on with all children really well. We would definitely recommend to other other schools.”
