“The children in 2T at Spilsby Primary Academy were so engaged and excited during their production. It was incredible to see as their teacher how much fun they had! It was also a great CPD opportunity as an ECT teacher to see how you can make drama so engaging and get so much participation out of it. Please come again! The children in Reception at Spilsby Primary Academy love the workshop. All children we so engaged throughout even the children who sometimes find this difficult. As the their teacher it was great to see how to bring a story to life and I shall definitely be using some of these techniques within my own teaching. Thank you so much.”

“Our school participated in "The Enormous Crocodile" dance workshop. Our Y1, 2 and 3 children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The dance leader brought to life the story for the children which engaged them all. The workshop was well structured and immersive.”

“We had a whole school World Book Day dance event based around Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. Each Class absolutely loved their session - each was accessible and well-pitched. From Reception up to Y6, the sessions brought the book to life with great imagination and offered the children another way to express their love of reading and the other worlds out there! “The children enjoyed the workshop. Sassy was fab with all age groups and the children responded well to her acting methods. They enjoyed the freeze frames and scoping out the 'whole picture.' It was very active and engaging for all children. The teacher and teaching assistants also used this opportunity for CPD for our drama sections in T4W!”

“Ben, the dancer/choreographer was absolutely brilliant! He engaged the children from the first moment they entered the hall. He kept the session active, inspiring and exciting. It was so much fun and brought the books to life for all the children. Some of our children with SEN needs were beautifully catered for and were able to access the sessions. All our teachers were enthusiastic about the workshops and I'm sure we will book again. Well worth the cost.”

“As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we had West End in Schools run a Shakespeare workshop based on the Tempest. The children really enjoyed learning about Shakespeare, hearing the story and acting out some of the different scenes - they particularly enjoyed being the monster Caliban! A huge thank you for such a wonderful event.”

“We enjoyed a day with West End in Schools yesterday. Daisy worked with children from Nursery up to Y4. Her energy and enthusiasm didn't drop all day and each session was aimed just right at the age of the children involved. It was great fun but we all learned a lot about the books too.”

“The children at Rotherfield Primary School had a brilliant day reimagining the story of Alice in Wonderland through Dance ahead of our World Book Day celebrations. The sessions were adapted to suit all of our year groups from EYFS to Year 6 and enthused and engaged every single child. The workshop leader was brilliant with the children, very clear with instructions and expectations and remained high energy all day. We would thoroughly recommend a West End in Schools workshop to other schools.”
