“Dara quickly engaged the children, with a warm up dance activity. From then on he had the children's full attention while he helped them create a beautiful and varied representation of the Kensuke story through drama and dance. We thought that every minute of the hour long session was worthwhile, and that the children learned a lot about interpretation and movement. The whole thing was linked by some very well chosen music. The children loved it!”

“We loved our Shakespeare workshop on the Tempest. Craig was absolutely brilliant with the children and made sure to ask me questions before the session on our intended outcome for the day. The sessions were engaging and varied. The children learnt about Shakespeare, the plot of the story and the characters. They even had the chance to recite some script from the original text. We will definitely be using West End in Schools for our Shakespeare week next year! Thank you!”

“Fantastic!! So so engaging and exciting for all age groups. We absolutely loved our workshop & found that the children learnt so much and it was made more memorable through the drama and movement. Upon returning to class the children were able to explain everything they had learnt and recount what they did! They loved every single second & Mike was so passionate it really really was fabulous! We will definitely be seeing more of you at our school in the future. Thank you for your hard work, commitment and passion - our children really did have the best day.”

“The Shakespeare Explorer visit we had today was wonderful. West End in Schools delivered a series of one-hour workshops across Key Stage 2, introducing the children to A Midsummer Night's Dream and encouraging them to use their bodies, expressions and voices to capture a moment or tell part of the story. Every class enjoyed it and the children have taken the inspiration into further drama, writing and art. The representative from WEIS was on time, organised and led the sessions very effectively. We would recommend the experience.”

“Thank you Matthew (I think?). You were fantastic and our Year 1 children enjoyed every moment of the workshop. The grand finale show could have been better if you have divided the children into the groups (the different continents) and gave them some props, e.g. headbands for the Haka, organza silk squares for the can-can etc. I know with the Covid regulations this might not be possible. “Wow! We could not speak more highly of our experience. After such a long time away from live and practical music and drama, the children were delighted to explore some brilliant texts through mime and dance. Our facilitator was so friendly and was with us for two days. Every sessions was as high energy as the one before and the kids loved her. It was amazing to see how she kept 30 children all engaged from start to finish and they were active the entire time. Our sessions were for children ranging from aged 2 1/2 - 7 and every child thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
