The children enjoyed bringing their books to life and performing through dance. It was great to tell a story through alternative forms instead of writing. The teacher was very enthusiastic and interacted with the children well.

The children had a great day finding out all about the 'Great Race' and performing their Chinese New Year dance!

Thank you for the West end in Schools workshop. We thought that the booklet and resources were fantastic and really helped the learning of our pupils. We thought that the dance workshop was great. However, it would have been good if it could have included something that we couldn't otherwise have in school such as traditional Chinese ribbons, dragons or fans to dance with.

The children enjoyed every bit of the workshop. They found it very educational and enjoyable. However, they feel there should be more staff involved so different activities can be done at the same time and have all children involved.

This is our second year of having a West End in Schools pantomime and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. It is lovely to have an event in school that every child from Nursery to Year 6 can look forward to. This year we had 'Beauty and the Beast', which I think was not quite as strong a show as last year's 'Jack and the Beanstalk' but was still very good. I watched with children from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 and, even though most of the dialogue went over their heads, they loved the slapstick, physical comedy as well as all the roaring and sneezing! Feedback from teachers suggest the show was pitched a little young for the Year 5/6 children. Despite, we would have West End in Schools back again!

The children really enjoyed the show but we did feel that it was a little expensive and the lack of scenery was disappointing.

The children all really loved it and got involved with everything that was going on. The actors were very friendly and professional, set up very quickly and even left us some goodies which was incredibly kind. Adults also enjoyed it as there was some adult humour in it to also keep them entertained. It was really great., Thank you.

The children were buzzing with excitement after watching the pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk. The audience participation kept children engaged through out.

The children really enjoyed the performance, particularly the younger ones. The actors were great and really engaged well with the children. The only thing that I thought would have improved the performance would have been some more elaborate scenery and staging to make it more of a 'theatre' experience.

Both pupils and adults were enthralled and engaged by the 2 entertaining actors in Beauty and the Beast. A great choice for our end of term pantomime.

The children really enjoyed the drama and the final performance was very moving. The day ran like clockwork and the staff member was professional and supported the children well.

The children were given a reminder of the story and introduced to interesting dance moves and dramatic freeze frames. At times, some of the instructions were slightly lengthy but otherwise the children enjoyed the workshop.

* The leader was positive, enthusiastic and encouraging. * Liked some of her management techniques with the children. * The children had lots of fun and enjoyed working in groups. * One teacher said the boys in her class were really engaged, which is unusual for a dance-based activity! * In a short space of time, the children learnt a whole dance routine. --> One teacher said the children in her class struggled to retell the Diwali story afterwards. --> One teacher mentioned that one of the songs used in the session was possibly inappropriate (spelt out the word 'pimp' which some of the children noticed and giggled at).

We had the Diwali dance workshop. I had great feedback from teaching staff. They said it was educational, teaching children about the Diwali story as well as showing children traditional Diwali dance. The children really enjoyed it. It would have made more of an impact if the man who came in was in Diwali costume; we feel it would’ve made the sessions even better and given children another aspect of Hindu culture.
