“The children loved their Chinese New Year dance workshop. The instructor was very clear with her instructions and she provided plenty of opportunities to practice so the children were quickly able to build the movements they had learnt into a sequence. The movements were challenging but not beyond the grasp of the children so they had a real sense of satisfaction when they managed to do them well. I like how the workshop was built around a story and the choice of music was excellent.”

“The workshops were very fast paced which was fine for our juniors and they enjoyed it however this was not suitable for our infants. The workshop should have been changed to accommodate the needs of the younger children. They needed to do less at a slower pace.”

“Thank you for the West end in Schools workshop. We thought that the booklet and resources were fantastic and really helped the learning of our pupils. We thought that the dance workshop was great. However, it would have been good if it could have included something that we couldn't otherwise have in school such as traditional Chinese ribbons, dragons or fans to dance with.”

“The day's workshops were excellent! Kat differentiated from reception up to year 6 and all the children were engaged and interested throughout. Sometimes the background music was too loud when Kat was explaining the story and together with the echo in the hall, it was difficult to hear her instructions, so would suggest turning the volume down a bit. The children were very excited and all wanted to get involved. The whole school performance at the end was brilliant and we noticed so many children, we wouldn't have expected, really showing excellent speaking, listening and performance skills! We would definitely have you back. Thank you!”

“Hannah was excellent. She did an assembly for Yr 1-6 and 6 workshops for Chinese New Year. The dance was challenging and pitched brilliantly for all ages. Hannah maintained enthusiasm in all workshops, acting professionally and kindly towards staff and children. All staff and children commented on how good the workshop was and Hannah. We wold definitely use West End in School again. THANK YOU!”

“The workshop was exciting and very enjoyable for all of the children aged 4 to 11. All of the children were involved and loved learning the different dances and performing to their peers. It was fast paced and kept everyone involved. Quotes from the children 'loved it', 'exciting', 'amazing', 'best time of my life', are just a few. From the perspective of the teacher the pitch was perfect for year 5/6 and the dances included boys making it fun. Other teachers thought the sessions were fun and very enjoyable. The only thing as a school that we would do different was to invite the parents to watch final performance.”

“The children loved it. They really enjoyed singing the songs and joining in with the actors. They thought the cow was brilliant. The whole staff really enjoyed the show. It was a wonderful start to our new topic and many thanks to the actors for mentioning our 'magic beans'.”

“This is our second year of having a West End in Schools pantomime and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. It is lovely to have an event in school that every child from Nursery to Year 6 can look forward to. This year we had 'Beauty and the Beast', which I think was not quite as strong a show as last year's 'Jack and the Beanstalk' but was still very good. I watched with children from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 and, even though most of the dialogue went over their heads, they loved the slapstick, physical comedy as well as all the roaring and sneezing! Feedback from teachers suggest the show was pitched a little young for the Year 5/6 children. Despite, we would have West End in Schools back again!”

“Diana, the facilitator, was excellent - the pace and content was pitched perfectly for the age range and adjusted as needed on the day. All the children were engaged and enjoyed their individual sessions and performing to each other at the end of the day. A great introduction to Shakespeare - many thanks!”
