“Fantastic workshops! The children were really engaged and enjoyed every minute. The leader even got two of our SEND children wriggling on the floor, pretending to be worms- they NEVER engage in group work like this! Thank you for a fantastic day!”

“All year groups thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, they were all totally on task.It was fun and fitted in well with our space topic. Excellent 40 minute workshop with a very enthusiastic tutor. I liked how he would demonstrate with the children then add music which fitted to the activity. The story was good and the children enjoyed freeze framing in mixed groups. I liked and will take from it adding a single movement to the freeze frame. This was great. Liked putting the whole story together at the end through actions. Fastest 40 minutes ever. Thank you Xx”

“Hello West End team, Please can I take the opportunity to thank Holly (the dance instructor) and the admin team for the whole two days. Booking the experience , the dance sessions through books and the skills the children learnt were amazing. All our children and staff thought the sessions were engaging, selected a range of good themes from the books, the dance moves successfully worked through the understanding of the book an imaginative way. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would like to personally thank Holly and the team for such an invaluable learning and enjoyable experience. Yazmeen Kadar (Deputy head teacher)”

“Both children and staff enjoyed their workshops. We bought workshops for all classes in our school from reception children to our year 6 children. The only thing I would have changed would have been that each year group was able to look at a different text. We had some year groups that had to do the same text as we were only allowed 3 different workshops per day. Other than this there is nothing else that we would have changed.”

“Thanks for today. Annabel worked her socks off all day and skilfully supported our pupils to re-tell engaging stories through dance. The children were super active throughout because the stories and choreography were pitched and delivered really well. Our children really enjoyed their experience and loved having a real-life performer to work with them. Annabel was also sensitive to the needs of our classes by altering one workshop so's not to spoil the ending of the story some were reading! The workshops were pacey and engaging; a super way to celebrate World Book Day. We would definitely recommend to others. Thank you.”

“A huge thanks to James from West End in Schools! The children had an amazing series of workshops where they were encouraged to be imaginative and creative. James was excellent with the children - allowing enough time for them to experiment but also had enough presence to ensure they followed instructions. He demonstrated patience with all the children but took extra time to work with children whi had particular needs. The feedback from all staff, from Nursery to Year 6, was extremely positive and one of the best visitors we have had in school! Thanks for helping us celebrate World Book Day in style!”

“Amazing workshops for all children. Every year group was catered for and all of the staff and children spoke highly about the sessions. The lady who ran it was very knowledgeable of the books which I chose and differentiated her sessions according to the age group of the children. I would highly recommend these workshops.”

“We have had an amazing day! The lady who delivered the learning engaged the children from the word go. She had the children captivated with her story telling abilities. The sessions were well delivered and were wonderfully pitched to all age groups within our school. The children have gained a thorough understanding of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the experiences given to the children have started our WORLD BOOK WEEK off to an amazing start. Thank You.
