Terrible experience still receiving parking fines for a car sold in October. Dvla not updated

Went to the Alperton (near Sainsbury’s) branch. Online quote was £10625 and when I took the car there, I was offered £6959. 30% less than the online quote. Total time wasters.

Absolute waste of time, gave me an online valuation and then when I arrived with all of the required paperwork, they did an inspection of my car and offered £3000 less because of some scratches on a couple of wheel trims! This company is trying to rip people off. I drove away with my car!

We attended the We Buy any Car Maidstone site for a face to face valuation following an online estimated valuation. Predictably after a cursory look at the car (less than a couple of minutes) the quote given was £1500 less than the online valuation. However, I was expecting this and this was not my main issue with the experience. The problem was with the company employee who introduced himself as the area manager. From the beginning his attitude was rude, arrogant and condescending. I was spoken to as if I was stupid, and even though he failed to explain clearly exactly what price he was quoting, when I dared to ask a question, waa told 'I just told you that' He showed not the slightest interest in buying the car, and said 'you'll always get more at a main dealer.' I felt he wanted details that were none of his business, such as pushing for information about the price of the car we wanted to buy. The whole experience left me feeling angry and frustrated, not to do with the price but the terrible attitude of your employee. Due to this experience I would never go to webuyanycar again.

My experience with this company leaves a lot to be desired. On the 31st Jan 2024 I attended a 09-20 appointment at the Green Oaks Shopping outlet Widnes . The salesman told me not to worry about the parking fee as the company would sort that out, so I didn't pay the fee ,stupid I know a man in his 70s should of known better . On leaving the unsuccessful valuation the salesman reiterated not to worry about the fee. Needless to say I got fined £100 with a £60 early settlement fine avoiding the £100. I've tried to contact this company at 4 or 5 occasions, to no avail ,the messages all being replied to automatically, So not a company I would ever deal with again. You live and learn it cost me £50.

This company initially gives you a reasonable valuation online in order to tempt you to sell to them. However, when you take it to one of their outlets they pick the vehicle to bits and find anything to offer you significantly less. What a wasted afternoon.. In the end I sold my car through 'Motorway.co.uk' who gave me significantly more for it and collected it from my house. They didn't even charge me for a same day payment transfer as webuyanycar were proposing.. Webuyanycar offered me £7900 but I sold it through Motorway.co.uk for £11,750!! I would advise anyone wishing to sell your vehicle to check out Motorway.co.uk if you feel you are not getting the true value.

Careful people, We Buy *ANY* Car, not only do they rip you off, they take the car off you without checking the paperwork, due diligence doesn’t even feature, my evil ex wife, out of hate for me, sold MY car to those cowboys and they gave her a fraction of its worth, she gave an old V5 with her name on it and walked away (she paid extra to receive the payment faster too!!), let me be clear, I was the registered keeper and owner of my vehicle at the time she sold it! This is FRAUD! Did they care, absolutely not!!! when I found out this had happened behind my back, I made contact with the Plympton team who were less than helpful. I will be taking this further, this unethical business should not be allowed to trade.

I sold my van in November there was some kind of mixup with my bank details which I still don’t understand,I still haven’t been paid for my van and nobody is talking to me after sending emails, I would not recommend them.

This relates to a sale made on May 17th 2022. The valuation process was nice and easy, but when I turned up to drop off the car, the agent claimed the vehicle didn't match the model on the V5 document and reduced the offer price by approx 20% - approx £300. I don't understand how my V5 could be wrong, but by that stage I was committed to the sale as had made that the last day of insurance cover for that car and had a new car arriving the following day. So reluctantly I was obliged to accept the lower offer. What's more, I got the valuation through Topcashback and they refused to pay the cashback due. I'll certainly never use them again and, on the basis of my experience, wouldn't recommend them to others.

Absolutely appalling service. This company brought my car a month ago. Paid the wrong person account, kept my car and have refused to pay me. Only contact is through emails. No customer service at all. I have been left without the funds to buy a car. This has effected my disabled child. My job and my sons job as I drive him to work. I would never use this company again and will do everything I can to continue to warn others about trading with them !!!

Meet with nice guy at we buy any car in Craigavon Send offer of £10475 online call 3 times to come went them place one hour drive waste 40 minutes to take pictures of documents in end offer £2071 😂 absolute waste of time will never use them not recommended at all

An absolutely terrible experience of trying to sell my Vito Van in August.It was the Ashford Kent Depot...The young in-experienced boy offered me a bad price after WBAC initial quote online.Then I asked the young inexperienced boy that he hasn't even looked at the Van or even the engine yet!!! After he walked around my Van he then even had the cheek to offer me HALF of what he offered me!Seriously!! This boy was way too inexperienced for this kind of Job!!So I drove off not in the best of Moods as you can imagine!

They seem to rely on you being desperate for cash. Don't bother if you're just looking to sell your car for market value. Second time getting a quote and given a lower price for different reasons. They provide a price online and then look for reasons to lower it once you attend the appointment. Time wasters.

I accepted the price they offered it was agreed that I would take the car back a few days and hand my car over, the person I saw would not give me a written details of his quote, I took the car back a few days later the person that I had seen previously was not in on that day, so I saw someone else he spend about 30 mins keying and checking the cars details on his tablet, he then walked around the car and said I will have to offer you less than what your were previously quoted because I think its worth less, I said no way I was told what I would get and thats what I want, nothing has changed on the Car since the first quote, he would give me what I was quoted, I had already bought a new car and they agreed to take my car for the same price WebuyanyCar first quoted, WebuyanyCar is a complete waste of my time, it seems its all part of their buying tactics in trying to get cars for rock bottom price at the car owners expense.

Ongoing problem, so far it appears my sons vehicle has been stolen by this company. No money has been paid to him and vehicle was supposed to have been returned to him 3 days ago. It has not arrived. Customer service seems uncontactable. Many messages left and emails sent. There has been no reply. Where is his vehicle, we have waited in for it to arrive. Next step is to contact police as we believe they this company have stolen it and sold it on.
