“My original hospital eye assessment concluded with a session with Mr. Ross. He set out clearly and succinctly why I needed the operations, what I needed to agree to before they could proceed and gave me likely dates for them (in fact the dates were brought forward). On the day of each operation, Mr. Ross explained fully what was to happen, carried out the procedures with quiet and professional focus and efficiency. After each operation, Mr. Ross came round to check how I was and reassured me that the procedure had gone well. At all times, I had confidence in Mr. Ross’s judgment and professionalism and this has been amply borne out by the success of the procedures.”

“I underwent a Left eye Cataract Procedure (16/11/21) carried out by Consultant Mr Mantry at Ross Hall Hospital - Glasgow. The whole process from consultation to procedure was excellent and very professional from all those who were involved. I am delighted with the outcome of the Lens implant as I no longer have to wear glasses for driving, the before and after procedure outcome is amazing. From my experience, I would have no hesitation recommending the eye care centre at Ross Hall.”

“I had cataracts in both eyes and had the corrective operations conducted by surgeon Mr Mantray. I could not fault the whole process from start to finish at a very difficult time for everyone. My eyesight improved immediately after the operations and I had no difficulties thereafter. It could not have gone better.”

“My experiences of cataract surgery at Ross Hall were entirely positive. At my first visit I was asked what I was looking for from The treatment (to be able to continue driving) and all that followed was directed to that outcome. The staff were uniformly efficient, kind and reassuring. I was impressed by the way they worked as a team. The procedure was pain free and, indeed, a very interesting experience. The result was better than I had thought possible. Mr Mantry and team “thank you.” You have made the roads much safer for other users!”

“Fortunately the surgery was more efficient than the administration! From the initial consultation with Mr Mantry I felt I was in competent hands. Although I corrected the name of my GP's surgery twice, this was ignored and the summary sheets each had different, neither local, on them. I am pleased with the improvement in my eyesight, though still slightly concerned by the feeling that there is "something", not visible, in the left corner of my left eye. Maybe this is normal. Nothing was remarked on at the NHS follow-up by my optician.”

“I was a daycare patient twice for cataract removal, the care I received on both occasions was excellent. I was put at ease by the consultant who explained the whole procedure and answered any questions and concerns I had. All the staff were friendly and professional. To sum up it was a very interesting experience.”

“My decision to opt for Vision Scotland was based on reviews and information on the web, It turned out to be a great experience and I am totally delighted with the outcome which has restored my sight in my left eye. I can only express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr Ross and his team for such a great job. A recent eye test revealed better than 20/20 vision in my affected eye , if that’s not proof of good workmanship I don’t know what is .”

“The treatment was excellent and I am very pleased with the results. After surgery, it was lovely to have a comfortable chair and footstool with some coffee and toast. The nurses were lovely and Mr Ross was easy to talk to.”

“The service was great from start to finish. The cataract surgery itself was absolutely fine and I had no bother with eye drops etc. afterwards. I'm amazed at how simple it all was. When surgery was over, I couldn't believe that I could see so clearly and in colour again. I only wish I had done it sooner!”
