“The team at VS were superb. I had lens replacement. Catriona K (optician), Mr Mantry (surgeon) and the team were very patient with my list of questions before and after. The operation is relatively painless taking around ten minutes and once again the care was exceptional. I got my own optician to put a blank clear lens in one eye, so I had glasses to wear between ops. As I looking out of the car window on the way home, I could already read number plates. I have not done this for over 30 years. Recovery is fairly fast and gets gradually better and better. I was driving the next day. Any issues that came up were responded to quickly. It is now four months since my second operation. It is a joy to look out of the kitchen window and see the birds. I would recommend lens replacement to my friends. Professional, warm and friendly team.”

“Was a very professional experience from start to finish, the team were very accommodating and the results have been as good as I could have hoped. My vision is now two lines better than 20/20 which is life changing. The recovery process from Lasek was very tough but worth it now. Thanks so much to the team at Laser vision Scotland for all your help!”

“Excellent professional treatment by all staff. Great outcome from the treatment of the charming surgeon. I have Parkinson’s & now a curved spine it was difficult for him to get me into a position where he could operate, but nothing was too much trouble for him. I am grateful. I did think the cost of the procedure was high as was the consultation fee therefore 9 out of 10.”

“I needed Cataract surgery and contacted Vision Scotland as the main private supplier in my area. The staff were efficient, friendly and very good with information. The process involved two visits the last being for the surgery which was in and out in a couple of hours. The time from diagnosis by my optician to surgery about 2 months compared with 2-3 years on the NHS. Money well spent in my view.”

“I am so pleased with the results of my multi focal lens replacement surgery. Jonathan Ross and the team were very helpful and professional. They really put me at ease before, during and after the surgery. The operations were carried out quickly and efficiently. During the operation Mr Ross checked on how I was doing and kept me updated on his progress. My eyesight was really terrible and I needed varifocal glasses. I now have 20/20 vision. It has changed my life.”

“It took longer than I should have liked to be offered my initial appointment but the outcome cancelled any misgivings I may have had. I now have vision in one eye as I have never had before. My hope is that the same can be achieved for the other following further necessary treatment. I was delighted with the expertise of my consultant. Where the hospital lets itself down was with the administration side. This had nothing to do with Mr Mantry’s PA who was extremely helpful. Mistakes can be made but should not be repeated.”

“Cataract surgery was performed in September 2021 by Mr Mantry. I have had type 1 diabetes for 50 years and have a lot of eye complications due to this, Mr Mantry discussed the procedure and the choice of lens best suited for me after a thorough eye examination. I had surgery on both eyes one week apart and it has been very successful.I had a slight irritation between surgery but this was examined and treated.Mr Jonathan Ross performed the initial eye tests and was extremely helpful.I am very pleased with the outcome, thanks to all involved.”
