“Vision Scotland proved to be an excellent choice for my eye surgery. I required three procedures and a number of follow up appointments. At each stage I experienced excellent care and first class surgery. I was delighted with the outcome that left me only needing glasses for reading.”

“Very professional from start to finish. At my consultation I had lots of question, some quite technical. All of these were answered to my complete satisfaction as were other questions which arose. The various options, risks, expected outcomes and potential problems were explained fully with nothing glossed over. For someone of my age (68) and with my prescription (-11), I have had an excellent outcome. After the operation, I had a worrying development and had to phone for advice. Although out of office hours, the phone was answered immediately and my concerns were allayed. This was followed up by a call back from a consultant the next day. Aftercare is first class. I would wholeheartedly recommend this clinic.”

“I had bilateral cataracts replaced with toric lenses in Edinburgh. The overall service was excellent. Information provided met all my needs. The appointment offered was quick and convenient. The surgery took very little time and there was minimal discomfort. The operating theatre was well set up, clean and welcoming. All the staff I encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Follow up directions, information and communication were excellent. I cannot fault the overall service and my sight is now better than it has been for decades.”

“I would recommend Vision Scotland to anyone wishing to have cataract surgery done quickly and so avoiding the long waiting time for surgery to be done on the NHS. I am very pleased with my outcome from surgery done by VS in September. I don’t need spectacles to read or drive now so a 100% happy person.”

“At the end of August I underwent lens exchange surgery, being implanted (both eyes) with trifocal lens implants. I cannot praise Vision Scotland highly enough for their exceptional professionalism in the service they provided. From the moment I entered the clinic there was an air of calmness and confidence, the staff were friendly and very efficient. My surgeon, Mr Ross, was fabulous, very much to the point and extremely reassuring. On the day, everything went smoothly, surgery was over quickly and there was very little pain involved – slightly uncomfortable rather than pain. The clinic have kept in touch with me, making sure everything is going well and progressing. Throughout, I felt all members of staff knew their roles inside out which gave me confidence that I had chosen the right clinic. I have now had my eye test carried out by my optician and I no longer need glasses at all. Result! Thank you Vision Scotland.”

“I had cataract surgery to both eyes with great success. It so happens that I suffer from glaucoma and had for several years had to undergo an annual eye test for DVLA before my driving licence could be renewed. After my recent eye operations I have now been provided with a three year licence. I am delighted and grateful!”

“Since I had my cataract operations earlier this year I have enjoyed greatly improved eyesight. I no longer need contact lenses, and I only wear lightweight glasses for reading. There have been no problems, and I feel the surgeon and his team were competent and conscientious. With regards, Christine”

“Hi Lorna I wish I could say that my cataracts procedure worked for but unfortunately it was the opposite as my eyes deteriorated after the procedure so much that it caused my AMD to get worse. I was advised by a couple of opticians not to carry out the procedure as it was risky.. I am struggling to see with both eyes now. I got accessed at Vision Scotland and they were confident it would be ok. But unfortunately the opposite happened for me.. Regards Frank Rice”

“All of the staff from the beginning were lovely. I was informed thoroughly about my procedure and what would happen before, during and after my surgery as well as post-op care. I needed some help post-op and I was able to receive it quickly. I would highly recommend coming to Vision Scotland for Lasek Surgery.”

“Surgeon Jonathan Ross and all staff from beginning to end extremely kind and caring! Slightly longer wait than expected due to a machine part having to be replaced and so adrenaline almost gone by the time I climbed on the bed, and as a result all used up during op which I knew was going to be “tricky”. However got back on track a couple of days later and did all my drops as instructed. So bottom line is happy with eyesight and glad all behind me! Thanks again to all concerned and apologies for not being in touch sooner. I have explained that blip!!”
