“Video Scribe is an excellent tool and a great platform for storytelling. This could be in education, business or just a DIY instructional. From start to end the process is very visual and easy to use. Right after signing up you get a comprehensive FAQ and Bootcamp/Crash Course to help you get started with it. Tech support is fabulous and it feels like you're a part of a growing family. Audio editing needs to vamp up a bit, so for now a few workaraounds are acceptable. This is a great investment and one would be foolish to pass on this product.”

“I like the program very much It is easy to use and learn. However the program is heavily reliant upon SVG images, and a much greater bank is needed. Additionally the inability to scribe Mathematical writting, (as opposed to mathematical images) is appalling Mathematics is the one truly universal language of the world , and the WRITTING of it is not properly supported. Memory limitations of the program are an issue too. An in built limitation of 1.5GB or thereabouts is pretty given today's computers. Heck of 8GB of RAM and my pc is 5 years old It writes fantastically the help staff are on the ball and the VS Sparkol community help each other too.”

“VideoScribe is a really great product. As an overall I LOVE IT and use it a lot. I just didn't rate it as "Very Good" because I understand that there is (always) room for improvement. Things I love are the ease of use, the possibility of importing our own hands and our own SVGs (yes, some other products do not allow it!) and the huge canvas we have to work on! Also the possibility of saving online, locally and on the cloud are great, as so we assure we'll never lose our ongoing work and we can always roll it back (if we do things the right way). Where I find room for improvement? Rendering needs to be fast! Morphing can clearly be improved, as it goes from a color picture to another via some black scratches that sometimes do not appear to be on the right spot along the way (i've seen better morphing within other apps). And when we work with a long story things get slow and sometimes some bugs appear (as when we want to select one picture and it adds it's selection to the previous selected one and so on, until we Save and press Escape or one of the two sometimes, which is random). Not sure but I suppose we cannot import backgrounds and that would be great. And colors! Why are they limited to a few ones? If you feel as interesting I can do a longer and better review but I will need some time for that! To any one reading this: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND VIDEO SCRIBE if you want to do any kind of whiteboard style video, for personal or professional use! But Sparkol is not only about VideoScribe! TAWE is showing itself as a very handy tool. I also work as a Graphic Recorder and I am starting to use TAWE as the tool to show and explain a Graphic panel to anyone that hadn't attend a presentation and hadn't seen the drawing process. I used to do it with a conventional recording process (a video camera) and now I intend to change the process and use TAWE more regularly! GREAT PRODUCT Sparkol. Keep innovating! Daniel”

“It's a very useful tool for my purposes. However, I have some issues/concerns: 1) it's kinda sluggish, esp when I'm using my 11in MacBook Air. I basically am unable to work on any scribe project on my MBA. So I have to do it all on my iMac at home which greatly limits my mobility. 2) using and getting used to the canvass is quite daunting. I'm always having issues in sizing my objects. 3) the resulting MOV files are humongous! Even for relatively short clips. 4) it doesn't accept special symbols. Would be ideal if it can work with RTF character set, emojis, math symbols, etc. sometimes when I copy and paste from an external source (eg,, word document) it won't accept even if just all text. 5) very few and hardly useful available free SVG images. The 'for sale' images are very expensive! $3+ for a very simple image?!”

I'll pass on your comments to the team and see if we can do something about this. As for the images our illustrators are working on new and free images as we speak so keep an eye out! “Very easy to learn and use but have to see the video tutorials (easy to follow) and read blogs from time to time. The visuals are good and the end product is quite useful. It is very bad though, that the library of images is very limited after upgrading to the full version. Each additional image that you purchase is not cheap considering you have to pay every time you need a new image.”

“Easy to use and the end product looks great. A lovely way to get a short message across. Text and graphics can be incorporated and manipulated with ease. A little disappointed to see so many of the images are charged for...and not cheap either. Overall a package that gives you maximum output for minimum input.. You can make a few simple sentences look really special with very little experience of using graphics”

“I am a history teacher and have used it in lessons to get a point across. I would like to see more in the way of history/educational material in the library and any useful ideas in terms of creating/using it more in lessons would be great. Thanks”

“I apreciate very much the base idea and many of its features. The interface is very simple to use; this important but... it is too extreme - the product is too basic to be productive. Expecially the text management is incredibly rough. Today is not easy to accept that a rather expensive product doe not offer even the capability to write a word in bold case. I prefer to consider VS such a good anticipation of a good and innovative future product.”

“I really like your product but I really need these features for eliminating external editing : - fade in effect for images (svg or png) - outlines are drawn with double lines (files from AI) and when drawing is completed changes into original look. - output file size is extremely high so I always need to use another video editing software (like finalcut pro or after effects) to reduce size. Thanks a lot.”
