“Hello I am pleased with the Apollo side bars I received . But you sent me no instructions to fit them after a number of phone calls you emailed me some which do not really explain a lot which will make fitting them a lot harder . Wish I had not bought them off you . Yours S Sheehan.”

Hi Stanley, Many thanks for your review. I am glad that you are happy with the side bars. Unfortunately we only have the instructions that we are provided with. We can try and advise you as much as we can however we are purely an online supplier and we haven not fitted these ourselves either. We are getting vans in and fitting parts to them so we can make our own instructions with more detail, if you would like to wait for us to do this and then send you different ones over, we can do that. Of course if you do not want them you are more than welcome to send them back to us. Kindest regards, Vanpimps.

“Good finish on the parts bought One handle tool has tool marks in the handle,I havent fitted them on my van. When fitting I have your PU 50 mastic do i remove your glue strips or use both. David.”

“Very good delivery and service but recently bought an item and didn't realise that the adhesive and glue where not included so by the time we had purchased and got the glass we then realised that these where not included so had to order again and pay extra postage if this isn't included on all windows its a bit silly why buy a window without the adhesive and the website could easily flag this up at basket stage”

Hi Stephen, Thanks for your review. I appreciate for people that are bonding the windows themselves it would make sense to buy the window in with the fitting kit, however that would up the price and not everyone needs fitting kits as they have them fitted by a professional window fitters which already have the fitting kits- so we sell the window separate with the fitting kits available to buy additional if needed. Of course i will speak to the person who deals with the website and see if we can get this flagged up at basket stage so this is clear that the windows do not come with the fitting kits unless in a window package. “the rails are of good quality the only thing that lets them down is the spacers I have sprayed them with two pack epoxy paint and stove them, hope this will prevent them from going rusting the other thing is there are no instructions on how they are fitted so I am hoping it is straight forward enough as I have not fitted them yet otherwise everything else is ok. “I could not fault Van Pimps as they delivered on time even at this time of year, the product however was not as straight forward as the write up would suggest. The instructions were nothing more than an attempt to list the items supplied, I had to do a fair bit of trimming and had to buy two more bolts as the ones supplied were just not long enough, minor gripe but annoying.”

“Ordered 2 side windows for my vito both arrived less than 48hrs later and very well packaged. The quality is very good and their fitting video is much better than an ikea style fitting instructions”

“Ordered 5 windows, one arrived smashed, but a replacement was sent out quickly after proof of the smashed one was provided. Could have done with a more detailed youtube clip online to watch showing how to apply the adhesive using the notched nozzle. I only figured this out on the last two windows and consequently have quite a few leaks to rectify with bathroom silicone. I also managed to stick the nearside rear glass a touch too far forward, so it just fouls on the sliding door when it opens (not when it's shutting). A heads up on this for the total novice would be really helpful too! Overall an excellent quality product, at a very reasonable price.”

“The service and delivery are superb, the windows look good but are not a good fit. You supply 2 tubes of adhesive for the pair of windows. Assuming that one does each window. The bead of adhesive has to be that deep that even one and a half were needed for 1 window. The adhesive was so hard to gun on I think it was on it's way being past it's sell by date. In the end I had to get my mates son who is a windscreen fitter to fit them using his own adhesive. Even he said they were not a good fit and needed far to much bead of glue. They do look nice now fitted apart from the gap shown on the inside.”

Hi Rob, Thanks for your review. This is the first i have heard of this, If you sent us an email or called one of us in the office would have been more than happy to assist with this and help rectify the problem. One tube of bonding adhesive should be more than enough for each window and with regards to the sell by date i have been down to the warehouse and all the ones that we have are with a sell by date of 2016/17. “Product is brilliant. Fast delivery and the video on the website a super great help to fit the windows. I would have struggled without the video. The website does not state that they won;t ship outside the UK and when I called they confirmed they don't ship to Ireland, because they are not keen to send the shipment by boat, whilst they do ship to Northern Ireland which is 10 miles up the road and also requires shipment by boat. The website has a loyalty system, which is good for returning customers, but not for me (once off buyer as I am converting a van into a camper). I ordered 4 windows and all fitting bits. I wanted to order more (wind deflectors), but was advised to split my order in 2 so I can use up my points on my second order. I never placed the second order as the shipping and handling to NI was £ 29.99 whilst the product is £24.99 - points approx £ 11. So the S&H would be more expense than the product, which I ended up buying somewhere else (sorry guys). Bottom line: - Do I recommend: Yes, I highly recommend VanPimps and have already to others. - Tip for VanPimps: investigate if you can ship outside the UK as I believe you will get more custom + offer alternative to loyalty points for once-off buyers (e.g. allow them to transfer their points to others, offer customer to deduct 50% of points now (and loose the rest) or keep 100% for next purchase (returning customers). “Product good .would be nice to have some advice on sticking them on like try and stick outer edges on first ..I have fitted mine but have gaps all around where it hasnt fitted flush .look good from front of van but not so when u look in mirrors ..fitted now so I will have to live with it .”

“pleasant and helpful staff , purchased a number of items which are good quality and competetive rates , delivery of one item was delayed and I was kept informed on situation, the carrier did deliver one damaged item which I have dealt with satisfactorily with company who will reimburse cost ,overall I will use them again and recommend them”

“I bought some chrome handles for my trafic van , they were a bit scratched upon delivery but I cannot be bothered with hassle of sending things back. So I just gave them a polish and put them on , really easy to put on and they look awesome . But I will buy from van pimps again I'm after the side bars next.”
