"The sales part of the Insurance certainly seems very good. Importantly documents arrived safely and as far as I can totally compliant to the Insurance rules. Whilst the cost I thought was quite high I really don't mind paying for a good efficient service. Luckily I havn't had to mount a claim so far which is of course the real test of a good policy and service."

Dear Anonymous,
We are extremely disappointed and at a complete loss to understand exactly what it is you are trying to say in the vague comments made in your online review above, including the decision to only award us 3 stars for customer service.
Having personally reviewed the case notes then the facts are as follows.
In November 2017 you made a claim for damage to the underground services supplying the property, (a risk which incidentally is not always covered under some policies) and even though the claim was dealt with and settled in little under 8 weeks for a sum of £3,600, YES, £3,600, you are now "if I am understanding your comment above correctly" describing insurance as a "Necessary evil! and you are not happy that your renewal premium which was due in March 2018 had increased by £70.00.

Needless to say and given the above then we are are all a little confused at the way in which you have responded especially when the property insurance in place has delivered.

"Its good, however a little confusing. I received one email asking me to renew, with a note at the bottom saying if you pay by direct debit you do not need to do anything. But then I received the more emails over the week and just as I was about to call I received this email saying thank you for your purchase."

Hi Miss Hickman,
I was very sorry to hear you found the process of renewing your policy a little confusing.
As you say renewing is usually automatic (unless you inform us otherwise) and despite this being the case I can appreciate some confusion creeping in after we have sent you the initial invite 30 days before the renewal is actually due.
The follow up e mail you refer to is sent 10 days prior to the renewal date and this is to double check that you “The Customer” are happy to go ahead and renew your policy.
However, we take on board what you have said and we will review the documentation to see if this can be made clearer.
I would like to thank you for renewing your policy with us and for another year, and we look forward to a continued relationship.
We take great pride in customers renewing their policies and it may surprise you to know that over 90% of customers renew their policy.
