The website was ok to use, but i do think the price is a bit overboard considering it is a pdf.

Good value and easy, much easier than Promap although I don't recall if I was offered the option of having the map as a dxf / dwg which is often my preference. I'd have given it 5/5 were it not for the fact that the payment page refused to accept my post code, said it was the wrong post code for the debit card and wouldn't accept payment, it absolutely was not the wrong post code! Meant I had to 'phone to make payment which rather spoiled the "convenience" aspect!

Very easy to order. I didn't like the export form which comes as sub-classes (sub-layers) so takes twice as long for me to process, so not sure I would order again.

Not as detailed and not covering all the area of the site I expected

The plan was approximately 25 plus years out of date. Thankfully it will still do the job.

Could not order online as it did not seem to work. Had to order by phone. Woman said it would be with me with me in 5 minutes but after nearly an hour email still had not come through. I had to phone back and it appears she put "ooo"in outlook. I got my maps but the were DPF when I had asked for MSWord format. Got them eventually after I sent another email. Maps look ok. As I was trying to complete a planning application online I could have done without the additional hassle.

Plans are fine but it is an expensive service.

I used the map as part of an application for permissionto prune trees in my gatden, which is in a conservation area. I am a householder and this is the first time i have used this service, and the scottish goverments eplanning system, so i had to learn as i went along. I didn't find it easy, and i have two postgraduate qualifications. The map scale is too small for identifying the location of trees in average sized suburban garden. The drawing tool was cumbersome and difficult to use, and i had to erase countless attempts before i had a satisfactory result. The tool seems more designed to drawing shapes than marking points. Finally, in the midst of all this frustration it was easy to make an error and i marked up the wrong part of the map, and only noticed this after I'd bought it, so had to buy a second map, so doubling the cost to me. All in all, a tedious and time consuming process.

Hi, I recently bought a plan for the first time of UK planning maps. When looking at the website it said that when buying the mastermap 'All DXF/DWG files include 5m contour lines Free.' Hence I was surprised after purchasing that the height data was not included on custom shapes and only on standard sizes. I was offered to pay extra for it however was left slightly disappointed as on the website it gives the impression that 'All DXF/DWG files include 5m contour lines Free'. Not to worry but maybe something to make more clear on the website.

I needed to know what my boundary line was for my garden, so now I roughly know where abouts it is. Thank you

Ok map, although I was expecting the red outline round our property boundary to be on the map as you are asked for you postcode and house number. It was hard to put the red outline on it as once saved you couldn't do anything with it even though it was yours and you've paid for it.

Hi, the red outline is not added by default, but it is very easy to add, just click the snap points around the boundary you want to outline. In this case as you have already ordered the map please send an email to us at enquiries@ukplanningmaps.com with your order number and the outline you would like added. We will update the map for you for free.

Although the staff were very helpful when I phoned, the map on the view was not what printed. This was very disappointing, as I required a map showing two named roads and I had this on the "view" tab.

Hi, you can browse a very large area of Ordnance Survey mapping on our website, but to save money you only export and print out what you need. If you need a larger map than you purchased please send us an email to enquiries@ukplanningmaps.com outlining the issue and we will help you get what you need.

Fast and smooth service. I wish CAD files weren't much more expensive than JPG format.

Hi Mr Doummar, unfortunately Ordnance Survey charge the CAD files much higher than the JPG files, you should still find that we are the cheapest supplier of Ordnance Survey mapping online.

It was easy to find the right map but the website kept telling me I had used up all my searches even though I had registered as requested and there weren't supposed to be any restrictions. I left messages on the helpline number and emailed Customer Services but no-one got back to me at all. Eventually the website let me back in after several days and I could download the map I wanted. But still no-one got back to me. I had no help at all for a fault that was obviously part of the website. Not happy! And not a good experience.

Quick and fairly easy to obtain the map I wanted. However, the cost is excessive for a small, simple map.

The process seemed straightforward enough however the red edging tool was really fiddly and the image that came back after I paid looked nothing like the screen view as I was creating it. The lines looked much thinner than the ones I had drawn and didn't touch the edges of my boundary. I contacted them and one of the staff re-edged my boundary for me and sent a better version which was nice, but removed the additional red hatched area that my council had specifically requested. I ended up adding the required detail manually on PowerPoint and got a much better result!
