The plan was very tight and did not cover the border with adjoining properties well. I had to buy a map from another supplier to do the job I needed.

Much needed service by anyone wanting to submit a planning application hence they can charge very high rate , there being not much else as an alternative so a captured market. The maps are fine, just highly expensive .

Almost instantaneous but very expensive for an email copy just because it was a wider area, size is still A4!

I clicked the box for an A4 map, and expected the mapped area to be A4 in size, the map I received was much smaller than A4. Not really impressed.

Pricing misleadiung and DWG Maps are not like the sample. On the website it states that "All DXF/DWG maps include free contour lines at 5m height intervals. If you require more detailed height information we have a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) option that gives mean average heights for every 5m square across Great Britton." and then gives a list of prices for different areas. I didn't need the DTM detail, but they still charged an extra £5 + VAT for an item called "Contour Lines 5m"...which doesn't seem to tally very well with being "Free". The other issue is that having downloaded their sample DWG file, which showed nice clear building outlines in orange, contours in green, clear simple North point etc, the actual file for the location I wanted was really not the same format at all. Yes, it was vector DWG information, but black building outlines, black contours, messy fussy North point, lots of UK Planning Maps Branding. See image. Selection and payment were easy. Delivery was pretty much instant, but I'm afraid I wouldn't use them again as the samples just aren't representative what you actually get and they charge for what they say they won't charge for.

The block plan which I paid for had about half of the actual area I had highlighted cut off the edge of the pdf and was useless. The location plan was OK, this will have to do both jobs for the planning.

I'm sure this is a very good service for people wanting a straightforward location plan, but it was downloaded as a pdf which we couldn't then use in CAD, so a waste of money for us and we had to download it again from a different company. But if only needed as a location plan for a planning application and you don't want to change it at all then I guess prob slightly cheaper than others.

Bought the DXF format to import into SketchUp. The file is a mess. I had to redraw the layers and add the names.

Whilst downloading the map(s) is straightforward, it would be far more useful to be able to annotate on to them direct from the site.

Site wouldn't allow me to to put a red outline and blue outline together. Each time I tried it moved whichever I used first. Also, the shapes files are not compatible with Mac so couldn't use them.

Hi emailed for help never received a reply, map was wrong scale and unable to edit i.e. add features as required by planning department not a good experience poor value poor service should be made very clear on advertising you can only add either blue or red boundaries and that is it, nothing else can be added!

No complaints about the ease of use website but really expensive to get a useful size DWG map for planning.

Not clear what to do, added highlight as instructions indicated paid £12 and got a rubbish drawing. Very disappointed.

UK Planning Maps have asked me to review, otherwise I'd have kept this to myself but I thought the product was poor. The online journey wasn't clear, it was slow, I couldn't see even part of the the final draft product before committing to paying and what I got was rejected by planning. Overall, a waste of money.

Not easy to use ! I had to call as the maps hadn't appeared as I wanted . It is quite confusing for someone who is not used to using such a complicated system.
