When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“True traveller is so so easy to use and has so many easy ways to add on or change your policy. I only used it because so many people recommended it to me for my working holiday in Canada and I can see why!”

“Fantastic website, very well laid out with loads of info and advice about travelling and insurance, it covers pretty much everything. I was pleased to find out that they provide cover for 2 years, which is ideal for us! Fortunately haven't had to make a claim yet. Personally I would like to be able to increase the value of individual valuables (such as my full suspension mountain bike) to more than £450”

“I had to use my insurance two times, one was a skin check, got refunded the tickets and the last one I was pretty unlucky getting dengue fever. I was in a hospital in Malaysia for nearly a week, didn’t need to pay a deposit and they handled really well the situation. Got even refunded all tickets I payed for blood tests I did before being admitted at the same hospital. If you are traveling I think true Traveller is the best option! Forget about problems and enjoy your life!”

“The True traveller website was extremely straightforward to use. The pre-loaded options were very handy to select the region I would be travelling and the activities I would be doing. I searched a number of different providers for travel insurance and True traveller was by far the most comprehensive and at a very good price. The whole process took me less than 5 minutes and I will definitely be using them again. Highly recommended”

“I have used true traveller for the past 5 years and where ever in the world I have been have felt safe in the knowledge that true traveller always had my back! Have only had to claim once which was when I was doing a six weeks course at Honolulu university in Hawaii! I started getting excruciating nerve pain in my face from a wisdom tooth which had started to move! Claiming back tooth extraction expenses was easy although they required all flight tickets and bills!Was refunded within a few days!Thank you True traveller!”

“It is very easy to see what is included in each type of policy. It is also very easy to see what medical conditions are covered. I looked several different companies but I felt that True Traveller gave far more details about policies than any of the others.”

“I've used True Traveller for a few years now, firstly for a one year around the world tour and now for another tour of latin america. I researched extensively including these reviews to see the experiences of people who actually had to claim for problems and it was clear the customers of True Traveller had great experiences when they had run into trouble. I also like how the quotation process is well designed and not overly complicated like some competitors. I've never had to claim but i know that if one day I do, I am in good hands.”

“I’m travelling long term and it’s really hard fo find decent insurers that will cover you after you’ve already left the UK. True Traveller was well priced and the calculation tools were easy to use. Only thing i’d suggest would be a fixed “one year” option.”

“This is my second time booking with True Traveller and I am super happy with their service. I went on a 1-year long trip and had a few health issues here and there and all my claims have been paid back timely, the assistants on the phone were always very helpful and understanding and the website is just very intuitive! That's why I chose to purchase another cover, for this shorter trip.”

“This is honestly the easiest insurance site I've ever used. Clear instructions and layout which guide you through the process. They cover anything from active holidays to extreme sports and are also really useful if you have a health condition that needs covering.
