When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“Very pleased I chose True Traveller to insure my South America adventure trip. After a quick online chat with one of the team, I chose the extreme pack as it would cover me hiking the Inca Trail, cycling down Death Road in Bolivia and generally travelling in high altitude (up to 5000m). As it happened I had to claim for an entirely different reason - stolen luggage, and True Traveller didn't disappoint. Their claims process is very straightforward and I felt that my claim was handled efficiently and fairly, and it was settled within a few days of submission. Will 100% choose True Traveller for any other serious travelling plans in the future.”

“The staff were really compassionate towards me. I got this feeling from their website when I read up about claims. Insurance companies generally have a bad reputation for not caring and just being very ‘transactional’ in their approach but True Traveller seem very thoughtful & considerate towards their customers. They turned my claim around in 1 day which was super speed! They say 10 days on their website which I think is quick enough, insurers usually take a long time with this stuff but True Traveller seem different. It’s nice they take this claims process seriously and handle with care. I also find the extension process to my cover very simple and straight forward. Thanks for making me feel like a human rather than a number!”

“I have been using True Traveller for a few years now to cover my children while they are already travelling - a wonderfully reassuring facility that most insurers do not offer! Their website is absolutely straightforward and fully informative, though on the one or two occasions when I have had a question to ask, their telephone staff have been friendly, professional and efficiently helpful. True, I have not had to make a claim yet, but if I did I am certain it would be handled with the highest professionalism. Thank you, True Traveller!”

“I couldn't be more pleased that I went with true traveller! So far on my trip they have been amazing! They are quick and efficient! Just take the stress out of everything! I've had to claim twice, once for hospital bills for a broken rib and once for a broken phone and both claims were paid out near enough immediately, I couldn't recommend them more! They have a customer for life! :)”
