The course achieved all its aims and objectives by supplying me with information regarding getting the best from any future learners that I might have by doing exactly that with me. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience made all the better by an engaging and approachable trainer who knew his subject and was able to pass on his enthusiasm. I would recommend this course to others

The course and materials provided were sufficient and Philips delivery of the micro teach assessment was invaluable.

This was a great course. Perfect for our purposes (we run a local running club) and the trainer answered all questions really well. It was interactive, hands on and extremely informative. Thanks again Train Aid for a fab course!

Seth was a fantastic tutor, he really engaged the group and gave us thorough and realistic answers to all of the crazy questions and scenarios we threw at him. Couldn't fault him! The two negatives I have are that the wording on the online part of the course was in very poor English and is in dire need of being proof read, and really made me doubt the quality of the course I'd just paid for. Also, the dvd's of first aid scenarios that Seth had, were so scratched they wouldn't play on his laptop. Surely a group of around 8 students paying £90 each should raise enough profit to be able to afford to provide him with a new copy when needed?!?!

Great training course, very informative. Doing half of the work online made such a difference. Have done many a first aid course throughout my career and this was one of the best.

I thought the email you send out with all the Info when booking the course is very helpful, providing where to park etc. The email providing the date of the course and where it's based with the address could include the times as well. It would be good to receive a email after completing the train aid assement online & the practical just a rough idea on when we will receive our certificate other than that it was great & our teacher Ray was clear about the training.

My tutor Martyn was very good. I am an athletic coach and have been for the last 17 years - my insurance requires that I keep a valid first aid certificate as such I have undertaken may first aid courses over the years. Martyn presented a fun course with attention and emphasis to the details that really count. I will be using TrainAid again.

The trainer knew his stuff and presented it with a good deal of humor.

The course overall was fine. However there was things that I knew from previous paediatric first aid courses that were not talked about. I felt that things such as bandaging wounds should have been a practical as well as CPR

Seth was a great trainer in many ways - very lively and enthusiastic, and obviously knowledgeable. Sadly he was not very organised and he seemed to spend a lot of time chatting, rather than getting to the point. My husband is a well trained first aider, and when I returned home I really didn't know the answers to a few simple questions he asked. There were definitely some gaps in the training, for example what types of bandages to use, how to make a sling, some details about using the defib.. I would also have liked to learn more about managing hypothermia, shock etc. Overall, Seth was very personable, but needs to stick to the session plan (assuming there was one). I would not recommend the course to fellow instructors.

I liked that when you did the practical part you were not the only person doing it so you didn't feel like everyone was watching you.

Terrible communication, emails that finished half way through a sentence, emails requesting 'please return to me' but all were unsigned so I had no idea who to reply to. The person in the YouTube clips was terribly boring, monotone and static, I gave up watching after 3 minutes and just used the book and my previous knowledge. The video I did see gave different information to the book, when I emailed to ask, I was told that the book was more in depth and I could choose which one to use! Incorrect timings given for practical day, which we had to chase to check. My colleague asked for a flip chart stand to be available it wasn't, we weren't given any timings for the day prior to it, simply we had to assess 3 others, no mention that we were expected to wait for the whole day. At practical day, there was no housekeeping mentioned (toilets, fire exit etc.), we were told that the timings were strict, which is different to what the office said but when this was pointed out, we were told that it wasn't that strict. One person was so disorganised he kept getting up and down to check his work whilst others were trying to teach and the person in charge said nothing. My colleague received unit b back saying she had passed but was then told they couldn't find her unit a and asked if she had passed, I had to forward unit c to her as it wasn't sent (only sent over once she chased it). Essentially I paid £270 for a book, someone to mark around 4500 words and spend 15 minutes being watched by someone whilst I taught. I was hoping to do more training but will be looking for a different provider.
