“I undertook the Level 4 award in Internal Quality Assurance, having previously undertaken the Level 3 award in Teaching. Nick Chadwick was the trainer who was excellent - very engaging and brought the very practical material to life. Lots of time was allocated to complete the qualification and there was plenty of support available. Feedback was provided for any work submitted promptly and the qualified IQA (Vicky) was very friendly and made myself and my assessor feel at ease.”

“I found the first aid course the best one I’ve ever been to . The trainer Claire was very knowledgeable and helpful. I left feeling confident about CPR which has always made me feel nervous in the past . The practical part of the course was excellent.”

“I really enjoyed undertaking my Level 3 Teaching and Training Certificate with Train Aid. Martyn did a brilliant job of creating a positive and supportive atmoshere within the group of learners and by the end of the 3 days I was very sad that it was over. I had met some fantastic new people and gained some new knowledge and skills. The support that was offered to us when developing our MicroTeach was extremely helpful. I have recommended this course to my colleagues. My only suggestion for improvement is around the emphasis on Learning Styles and updating the information that is taught. The second day focussed heavily on identifying people's learning styles, however, it is my understanding that current thoughts around learning styles are that the preferred learning style is linked to the task or skill that is being learned and that there isn't any evidence that one person has one learning style. The evidence base shows that presenting information in a variety of learning style formats which are linked/appropriate to the subject matter is the most effective way of teaching. By focussing so heavily on identifying a person's learning style we could accidentally miss identifying a learning difficulty such as dyslexia.”

“Very well organised. Teacher was very attentive, engaging and supportive throughout. Units being marked had a quick turnaround and very accommodating. Venue rather cold at the beginning of sessions due to the building being old and warmed up for the afternoon, with it being end of November the temperature was low anyways but maybe something to consider moving forward. I would definitely recommend this to others.”

“Training was done in a well presented and co-ordinated way. Easy to understand the slides and questions asked by the trainer. Proper use of cleansing wipes on mannequins and utilising the space that is provided for all the participaants. The venue was adequate for purpose of training.”

“My experience was really poor, the teacher was shouting at people who clearly werent understanding, and didnt try an alternate way to support them. I ended up helping another student on my lunch break, as she was in tears. Wore a mask which I found really hard to then connect with him as I an neurodivergent and lip read a lot. Didnt make us actually use our mouths for any of the CPR. very stressful enviroment.”

“Having attended and completed both the level 3 AET and level 3 CAVA courses I feel well placed to give a glowing review of Trainaid. Phil Galley was the instructor on both courses and his level of knowledge on both subjects was second to none. The lessons of both subjects were well structured and broken down and discussed in manageable bite sized chunks. Receiving all of the face to face training at such a high level made completing the assignments a relatively simple task. I would wholly recommend Trainaid in delivering a course should you or your employer require you to complete one of the ones they have available.”
