“Very pleased with our beam in aged - light oak. Excellent quality, it finishes off our new fireplace nicely. Very prompt delivery and good communication. Can’t wait to get the matching shelving for the alcove!”

“I’m pleased with the floating shelves look as they are above the tv and I think brackets would have been too distracting. Simple, stylish and robust. Perfect for filling a space between the chimney breast and exterior wall and providing somewhere for the clock since we removed the traditional mantelpiece. Seemed straightforward to put up with some DIY skills and a drill. Arrived on time, very well packaged.”

“We purchased a fascia beam and a dining room table, both are fabulous. The customer service is also excellent, would definitely recommend again. Only slight let down was the courier arriving at 7:45 am and as it was only one guy I had to help him lift the table off the Lorry. Despite that, i'd still give Traditional Beams a 5 stars, as there isn't much they can do with regards to the courier.”

“The beam is great, nicely finished in medium oak. Very please with it. Unfortunately let down by the courier company used (DHL). If you live in Essex, then you have a 50/50 chance of any item being delivered by them. Picked it up myself from depot in the end, 30 mile round trip. Not Traditional Beams fault but giving a quick overall experience review. Would be 5 stars otherwise.”

Hello Paul, Thank you for the honest review. I am very disappointed to hear that the courier let you down. Unfortunately we are very limited to the couriers we can use due to the weight and size of the items we send out. I am pleased you're happy with your beam and that it is nicely finished.

“Instructions easy to follow but you need to add that after screwing in the metal pegs you need to check to see if they are level.When I put the mantel on it was leaning forward from the wall and I discovered that the holes I drilled were slightly out. I tapped the pegs level with a rubber mallet and then glued the mantel and propped it up until glue set. Very pleased with final result.”
