“I'm very pleased with my beam, it's beautiful. Traditional Beams answered my questions quickly. I'm surprised there's no fixings with my type of beam and no way to buy a fixing kit separately. I also had trouble with the delivery company where tracking said it was overnight delivery but did mention they don't deliver on a Saturday! I waited in ALL day.”

“I first ordered from Traditional Beams in 2017, and was thrilled with the shelves. Having recently completed more improvements to our home, I ordered more Beams. The quality of the shelves, and the service received have been excellent. I will soon be ordering a mantle to match my shelves. Thankyou for an excellent service.”

“Excellent product and excellent service. We had to return to change the colour or our new fireplace and Traditional Beams were nothing but helpful. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely use again.”

“I was a bit nervous about buying a mantle online, but what I received from Traditional Beams was absolutely brilliant! I’m SO impressed! It’s beautifully crafted - smooth, lovely contours and a lovely grain that is coming more alive each time I wax it. Thank you so much 🥰”

“Product not suitable for plaster board walls so very wobbly in wall. Only advice was to use grab aheshive which is messy Policy is not to offer refunds”

Hello, Thank you for your review. I have taken a look at your order and can see you have ordered shelves suitable for solid walls only. We do have options for plasterboard walls with a different fixing method that suitable grips the back of the plasterboard. The advise you are referring to is an additional optional precaution. I have taken a look at your email and our reply and can see there was no mention that you were trying to fit to a plasterboard wall, just that the shelf was sloping forward which would would be the case if you are trying to fit our solid wall fixings to a plasterboard wall. The fitting instruction do state they are suitable for solid walls only (or timber studs) and the product listing also has a link to our plasterboard options. In addition to this we sent a very detailed reply to you about the points you had mentioned trying our very best to help. I think it is unfair you have put in your review that our policy is not to offer refunds. We actually have a very fair policy in terms of refunds and we allow our products ordered online to be returned to us for a refund if not installed even though they are are handmade to order. I can also see in the email we sent to you on the 19th July that although you had installed your shelves my college Dave had said he would make an exception and would happily accept your return and offer a refund as we could see how unhappy you were, however we never got a reply to this. If the issue is still unresolved or you still have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us. Many thanks Rebecca

“Superior product. Beautiful piece of wood and now the oak beam is on my wall above the fire it is the focal point of the room. ❤️ I recently left a beloved house and have been feeling sad .
