Tried to purchase a Bosc shredder but after 4 failed attempts and two debit card refunds I gave up and bought the shredder from another sell. Need to sort out their sales process.

Hi Yes the order was refunded because you provided the incorrect billing details for where the card used was registered each time. And without the correct details we aren`t covered for the transaction by our merchant bank. So this wasn`t an error from us I'm afraid. Many thanks Martin

Not the happiest of experiences. I wished to purchase a shredder. Living on the Isle of Wight I always check the delivery details, knowing that not all companies dispatch here and some make a significant charge, whereas other do not. Having checked your web page there was no indication that there were charges to my post code, so I placed the order. Only to be subsequently informed that there was a £43 delivery charge. Apparently, information on this shows up in small print on the final check out, which I missed. This seems pretty poor practice to me and the information should be made clear at the outset. Needless to say, I cancelled the order.

It clearly states on the basket page that some postcodes incur an additional carriage charge and to enquire prior to purchasing so that we can work out the carriage charge to see if you would like to proceed or not. This carriage charge is only what we get charged off the couriers, I have copied and pasted the basket note below: Please Note: The following postcodes may incurr an additional carriage charge; KW IV AB PH PS DD BT HS PA IM (some PO postcodes) and BT postcodes. Please also allow extra delivery time. Please enquire prior to purchasing. We gave the option to pay the carriage charge and we would send the order or to cancel and as this was chosen to cancelled we did so right away. Many thanks Nikki

Item was not received as order was cancelled as you were unable to deliver to the address I requested apparently down to fraud ? Even though the order was paid for and payment was received by yourselves spent a lot of money on Milwaukee products partly through yourselves unfortunately you have lost my custom from this day forward very unhappy

Hi I am sorry to hear of the delay in this parcel, I can see that you placed the order on the 28th May at 2.03pm and it was dispatched and collected by Fedex that same day. I can see it was then delivered a few days later, I can only apologise for this delay caused by Fedex but I am pleased to see you have recieved the shredder, Many thanks Nikki

The 2 batteries i bought were described as dewalt,so when i recieved them and they was,nt i was bitterly disappointed, i,ve not tried them yet so cant comment as to how good or not they are,but am annoyed that the advertising of dewalt was very misleading...

Hi William Many thanks for leaving a review with us. Having checked your order number you haven`t actually purchased any Dewalt batteries from us I'm afraid think you may have the wrong company? This particular order is for a Milwaukee 12v Cut Off Tool to yourself. Took my makita drill there to get repaired on the Friday. Was told i should have it back by the following Wednesday/ Thursday which was fair enough as I use it for work everyday. It’ll be 3 weeks tomorrow since they’ve had it and there seems to be no sign of me getting it back, Which is effecting my work. Each time I phone up I either get “that they have ordered next day delivery for the parts but don’t know when they will arrive “ or “ he’s not in the workshop right now but I’ll get him to call you back ( which he never does ) “ Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be sending my tools back there again in the future nor shopping after this experience

HI Thank you for emailing us with the details so we can look into this matter for you. Having looked into the repair i can see this was booked onto our system on the 13th March. The workshop fitter has looked at the machine and ordered the parts required from Makita, however the parts I'm afraid haven`t arrived to us from them until the 26th March due to them being behind with orders and staff levels. The workshop fitter then works his way through his repairs trying to get them done, he is I'm afraid behind in there which has meant the machine has only just been repaired this morning Saturday 3rd April due too staff being of sick and on holiday and also our jobs taking longer to process with the restrictions we have in place within the workplace. He has rang 4 times this morning with no answer or reply i believe he has no spoken with your partner who has been to collect the tool on your behalf. He would still like to speak with you regarding the repair so he can explain the reason your machine failed in the first place. Please also bare in mind we will look after customers who purchase the tools from us first over those that are purchased elsewhere that don`t offer a in house repair service. Many thanks Martin

Ordered a £750 mitre saw for next day before noon delivery .... they emailed me the day of the order to say they wouldn't deliver it to the address I had asked for it to be delivered to.. ?? due to security risks ??... not sure how I'm supposed to check my emails while I'm on site working, you'd think that dropping over a weeks wages on a product might get you a phone call ? apparently its not company policy to call a customer.. apparently sending the tool 70 miles away from where I was to an address rented out to people of which I have no connection is more secure ?? .. bizarre !!...next day mitre saw bench from Anglia tool centre turned up, Rail saw from Toolden turned up, tool pouch from Norway turned up ! infact everything I ordered from every other company turned up !!! all to my job site (domestic address) obviously no mitre saw, nice one Alan Wadkins !! the only firm to not want to actually sell you the saw you've payed good money for. ...cost me extra money to go and hire one plus put an extra 2 hours on my day ... would never use again.

Hi Many thanks for the review, Having looked into this order i can see the person who has dealt with the order has just followed company procedures as advised. We do state on the basket checkout page prior to ordering that not all orders going to 3rd party deliver address can be fulfilled. This is a company policy we had to but in place because of the small minority of people in the world who have been committing fraud against us. So these security procedures where put in place and if there is no history of a customer at that 3rd party address then the parcel won`t be sent as we are not covered by our merchant bank and chargebacks can be made against us. Different companies will have different polices but this policy seems to work for us to stop fraud taking place. I'm afraid we don`t ring customers all the time this will be emailed across as due to people being off and due to high order levels at present staffing and time are an issue. Many thanks Martin

I brought 1st fix and 2nd fix makita nail guns but due to change in the work I had to return them. I haven’t used them and on the return they said there are signs of use and they retained £20 for that. Think carefully before you buy if something goes wrong and need to return they will find an excuse to hold some money.

Hi We were unable to deliver to the alternative address other than your cardholder address due to security reasons, we could have delivered to the cardholder address however you emailed us to ask us to cancel the order which we did straight away for you. Many thanks Nikki

I have used the credit card I have for over 20 years without any problems. Not a problem until I tried to buy something off Alan Watkins. For some reason Alan Watkins didn't want to sell me an item on my credit card. Took the payment, then payed it back on my card ? I do not want to do business with someone that doesn't want to take a credit card payment anyway.

Sadly not a good experience, seem to have trouble with my card being accepted, despite Barclay saying that had sorted it, and when I rang they are unable to take orders over the phone, so might give them 1 more try if I can be bothered or just order it from someone else

Ordered some work wear which was confirmed out for delivery to be then emailed and told not available in stock. Happy to take £63.00....but not so quick to refund. Which! I have still not received 🤔
