“Social Cat takes no accountability when the influencers on their platform go missing after receiving the product. I tried contacting their support team and this is the response I get - We do not get involved in collaborations themselves, nor do we mediate conflicts that arise. This is clearly stated in both our Terms of Service and our Help Center.”

“I've used Social Cat for a few years already and have gotten great results. Their dashboard is very easy to use - and they are very responsive if I have any questions. Also, their database of influencers is expansive with a wide range of followers, from micro-influencers to influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers.”

“You changed the settings to need 2000 followers when I was already onboarded. And lost all job opportunities. UGC is supposed to be for anyone following doesn’t matter not influencers.”

Hi Taylor, I’m sorry to hear that the settings change affected your opportunities. We reassess accounts constantly to ensure they are still meeting our guidelines, sometimes this does mean we will need to suspend accounts from new opportunities on the platform. We assess things like post frequency, engagement, quality of content, ratio of camera facing / speaking content as well as other factors. If you've been accepted to the platform previously, follower count is unlikely to be the reason behind this decision. Kind regards, Team Social Cat

“I joined the platform to grow with the brands when I was under 2000 followers, but now I can’t engage unless I have 2000 followers so I can’t access to any opportunities anymore. So I’m opting out. I thought it was as you say a “small brand” supporting small creators but it’s not anymore.”

“I set up my profile according to their terms, but they rejected me without giving any clear reason. I then had to wait another 30 days for them to review it again, and I was finally accepted — even though I hadn’t changed anything on my profile. Their acceptance rules are extremely unclear, and when they reject you, they don’t explain why, leaving you completely stuck. The brand selection is also very disappointing. There aren’t many brands to collaborate with, and you keep receiving the same offers even after marking them as not relevant. But the most frustrating part is that Social Cat has blocked users who have been on the platform for years, have great collaboration reviews, and consistently do good work — simply because they have fewer than 2,000 followers on Instagram or TikTok. I really don’t understand this decision. Social Cat was supposed to give small and starting content creators opportunities, but now they are taking those opportunities away from exactly the people who need them. Very disappointing.”

“As an author , Thesocialcat is a cool way to get creative UGC videos to generate more visibility for my books, website content, and social media channels. I’m working with a small budget but can clearly see how this could possibly be even better for me with a larger budget. Hands down one of the best marketing investments I’ve made and cheaper than the other strategy of running ads on social media platforms. Thesocialcat was the right choice for me and I’m still here. One thing I’d change is make the matching better. If I’m an author I should be matched with book club influencers, or booktok influencers not lifestyle influencers, or travel influencers. Other than that Thesocialcat is a marketers candy store.”
