We've been using these in our holiday homes and have only one problem with one item. The loofah part of the item split when I washed in the washing machine, that's one out of our box of 12. Maybe I will just washing them on a 20 minute wash next time or in the dishwasher.

Great sponges, buy them because they are compostable when I’m finished with it.

Yes just cut them up to speed the process up or cut them up and place in the bottom of a plant pot when re potting

The Seep washing up pad works well. Been using my first one for 3 weeks . Washed in dishwasher twice. Bamboo scrubber bit now beginning to come off the sponge and not now very effective. May ditch this first one and see how long it takes to compost in our compost bin.

Just cut it up to speed this process up.

Good delivery but am disappointed that the 'bits' are coming away from the scourers

The scrubbing pads are brilliant and last much longer than just 1 month. When the sponge part gets a bit manky, I discard it and keep the fibrous part for cleaning different surfaces. For example one is kept beside the loo for week or so to clean the porcelain bowl , another to remove the tiny hard spots of food splashes from enamel and stainless steel worktops and hob. And then they go into the compost to break down as a soil conditioner. The ultimate multi-tasker!!

Happy to hear they are doing their job and more!

I think the scouter side could have been a bit more robust, a little soft. The first one washed well the second one I used split. Quite disappointing really.

Loofah fibres are naturally coarse and have good scrubbing power, yet gentle enough for non-scratch pans. We are sad that you have felt a little disappointed with them. Did you ever get in touch with us?

Green credentials are great especially as you can wash the sponges and the cloths time and time again.

Happy that you like the ethos behind the products :)

I ordered the double sided washing up sponge/scouring pads and the copper scourers. The double sided pads: the sponge part is good a quite effective ~ the scourer lacks any ‘scouring’ abilities sadly 😢. The copper scourers - whilst they ‘do the job’ they practically fall apart after a couple of uses - they lack a firm robust structure.

Really sorry to hear about the copper scourer. Please do get in touch at hello@theseepcompany.com so we can see what has gone on and sort it.

In an effort to tread more lightly on the planet I bought a pack of Seep dish-sponges... They're kind of ok, don't shed microplastics - which is the entire point. Not abrasive, so need to soak dishes to soften food residues before washing up. Been using for a few weeks and sponge is still in good condition, keeps it's shape. Yeah, they're ok. They do the job they're intended for.

Decent alternative, heavier and less flexible and stains easily but I like them.

They should soften up the more you use them, but to help speed this up, please pop them in the washing machine a couple of times.

I like the ecology concept and they look and feel nice, but they don’t last as long as the advert says (after about 3 weeks they fall apart). But I’ll keep using them for the concept of avoiding plastics

The gloves and sponges came promptly and were as described. I find the spongesscourers bulky but maybe not tough enough for burnt on grease. The gloves lasted as long as gloves usually do when faced with sharp items ion soapy water. All fine.

Love that is biogdegradable, sponge is great. the only reason why I have rated 4 and not 5 is that it doesn’t last 1 month: first sponge was in bad shape the first week, second sponge started to degrade more at 2 weeks. We are learning how to make it last and not put a blunt knife to it when washing knifes, be more careful. Great product overall and so happy we have switched.

Great environmental credentials but already beginning to show signs of wear and the scouring pad is not as good as expected.

Loofah fibres are naturally coarse and have good scrubbing power, yet gentle enough for non-scratch pans. If you require more heavy-duty cleaning, we suggest our copper scourers or washing-up brush

Excellent quality scrubbers. I've been using them for a couple of years. They last longer than traditional ones and are compostable. The long lifespan means they cost less too!

I was pleased to receive the introductory pack! I am using the washing pad/scourer (I love it), the green cloth for cleaning kitchen surfaces and we are trying out the bin bags. So far so good! I'm unsure about the metal (?) scourers - are they eco?

Glad you have had a great experience with them. Our copper scourers won't corrode or rust as they are 100% copper. It is also naturally antibacterial, which made it the ideal material for washing up and coming regularly into contact with water. Circularity is also our top priority, and we always ensure that our products are compostable or easily recyclable: copper is 100% recyclable and can be infinitely recycled without degrading or losing any of its chemical properties.

Excellent cloth. The sponge/scourer is a bit stiff for delicate glass.

Glad you are loving the cloth. The sponge scourers need to be dried out before they can be packaged and dispatched to customers. Just rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften it up, the sponges will become more soft upon continued use with washing up liquid. They will also soften up with usage so the longer you use it for, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times.
