“Good place to start for quotes, however sometimes you can get fed up re entering your details over and over again, so you end up going direct with an insurance company.”

“The Van Insurer is a very friendly website. HOWEVER.............. I decided to insure with 'Vine Insurance' and would NOT recommend them to anyone! I have had nothing but problems, was spoken to very rudely on the phone, found direct debits coming out my bank more often that agreed. Today took the biscuit when I called them as after almost 2 months, I still did not have my policy through. I never got the operators name (lucky for her) but after a few times being put on hold, I was told they were cancelling my policy because of an error with the online submission! When I informed her that my bank account had been debited too many times, she simply said "stop right there, I'm putting you through to complaints"!!!! And yes you can imagine that after another 5 mins on hold, they disconnected me!!!! The Van Insurer website............very good. Shame about the companies they are promoting!”

“Initially the quote was very competitive (£220 less than my renewal of £470). 2 weeks later went to do the deal. Clicked on actual insurance company. Had to fill in a lot of the same info again, dont know why but a little tedious., to be told that it actually going to be £330, not £250. Rang up insurance co, to tell them their system was disingenuous, went through it all again, to be told it was £330 and i must have filled the first form out wrong.(Which i hadn't, but it was getting a bit "the computer says" Told her i had another quote from another comparison site for about £270 and my wife would be delighted as she would get a meerkat. 2 mins later the people who said it would be £330, called me back and agreed to do it for the £250. So, in essence, you can get a really good deal, but it is not as straightforward as it ought to be.”

“The site is good however the cheapest quotes came from a company that were so hard to deal with I cancelled the insurance and went to compare Meerkats. I got a far better deal with More Than. No disgrace to The Van Insurer just the company I chose from their site.”
