“I've been perfectly satisfied with buying from PiHut, you ship promptly. However I recently bought an '8encoder' from you (8 i2c controlled totary encoders in a small case). I've written a driver for it and everything works well except for the eight RGB leds, one for each knob. The module says it is fitted with version 1 firmware and the LEDs are all fitted on the board, but they won't light up. I write to the LED registers using a 'write_byte(addr,data)' method that works on other registers OK. When I read back from them the data is red=0, green=0, blue=0. It makes me suspicious that the firmware in the module is a very early version, with no LED support. I'm not too concerned, as the knobs and pushbuttons can be read just fine. “The website is great, easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. Ordering is easy and straightforward. Delivery was quick and reasonably priced due to containing a battery. “I placed my order on a Friday morning and the items were dispatched the same day and received on the Monday. Unfortunately one of the items was not what i ordered but after communicating with the support team it was swiftly sorted out and i was able to return the package. I reordered the item again and this was promptly dealt with and i also received a refund within a day of the incorrect items being received back! Fantastic service and communication and i would highly recommend!”
