“Ordering was great - delivery was a bit annoying as the courier claimed they couldn't access the property to make the delivery but there was someone home; they tried the next day and left the package at the front door without knocking/ringing the bell. Putting the Pi together was a piece of cake. The only negative is that the screws to anchor the board to the case were not included in the pack (I don't know if I have the right screws to do this). Four stars for both the delivery (courier's fault) and the 'missing' screws.”

“Great speedy next day delivery! Bought for 11 year olds birthday present unbeknownst to him as a kid who loves building Lego and things in general thought coding might be a good move to pique his interest that’s started forming in computing. Unbeknown to me the day before his birthday school started them coding with micro:bits and he’s come home asking for one!! Going to win some serious Mum points when he opens his presents and find I’ve got him a robot too!!”

“I looked at several products all aimed at preventing a power bank shutting down when the load is light. I have noticed variations in the behaviour between power banks of the same make and model I possess. Some operate with my load without shutting down while others will shut down with the same load current. The simplest devices available simply increase the total current drawn but they significantly reduce the total running time by continuously generating heat. The Pi Hut version uses a reduced duty cycle of current drawn to keep the power bank operational. In addition the current drawn can be one of three levels so the optimum can be found to maximise the power bank overall duration. I bought the optional protective case to avoid accidental damage. I found this accessory works well and from my experience I recommend it”

“Delivery excellent but when I had a problem just got a canned message to contact the supplier of the board. If I’d bought a faulty product from a shop I’d expect them to replace it or be more helpful. Dissapointing.”
