“No problem. Oil arrived when we were out but TB had delivered here before. Only glitch, TB sent an invoice apparently asking for payment when we'd paid in advance.”

“Took a while for the order to be confirmed, but it turned up on the day it was meant to and was much cheaper than I could get by phoning around myself. They could not get quite the full amount ordered in my tank and a refund of the overpayment was made to my account without me having to request it. All in all a good service and one I will use again.”

“As someone who always shops around for the best oil price, the heating club oil turned out to be the cheapest. I read the reviews so anticipated a late delivery date so was pleasantly surprised when my oil arrived after only 5 days rather than 8! Well done, if you're still the cheapest next time we'll definitely be using you again”

“Everything was fine, the delivery was a day late, which didn't matter, but it would have been nice to have a direct phone line to make enquiries.”

“This was my first dealing with the club. It was a positive experience except for one fact. The appointed delivery date was missed and was a day late. Although there was no 'emergency need' on my part, although it was coming up to the Easter holiday. I emailed the club to tell them about the non-delivery and had a courteous reply from you telling me the matter would be investigated. The next day I had a further polite email telling me that it would arrive on that day. It did... and was delivered by a man who shut and bolted a gate that he had opened. I am very likely to deal with you again... assuming that the price is right!”

“Very good prices but communication very poor. The access to my tank is locked so it was very fortunate that I was at home when they arrived a day early with no telephone call to warn me as requested.”

“It would be helpful to be told earlier when the delivery will be. At the end of ordering I found out that delivery would take seven days. Since our oil supply was pretty low I was more than worried that the oil would run out before the seven days were up. To top this, the oil did not arrive on the promised delivery date. Apparently the tanker had broken down that day. When I phoned up I was told it would be another two days before the oil would come. This was our first order, but the price was good and we managed not to run out completely. I was not kept informed about the delay and new delivery date. I had to find this out myself.”

My apologies again Helena, it's rare that these things happen but across the country we use many suppliers with a high number of drivers and occasionally, things go wrong. Please give us another try, we will get it right! Thanks for responding. Mark.

“On this occasion The Heating Oil Club offered a better price than any I could find by phone suppliers directly. The delivery came on the appointed day. It would be helpful to have some notification of when the oil will be delivered, e.g. an email the previous day to say whether it would be in the morning or the afternoon.”

Thanks for your comments Charles, Yes, we were busy but in fairness, our main competitor takes around 10 days unless you pay a high premium so in what was a very busy time, we did quite well I hope. Thanks again. Mark.

“Cheapest oil by far. Local company could not match. My neighbour paid 3p a litre more. (Think I ruined his Xmas.) Very fast delivery. Would have got 5 * but I got a bill from the supplying oil company & I have to ring them to sort it out. Will definitely use every time.”

“To say I was waiting until I could take 1000 ltrs, & Christmas was fast approaching, it was a toss-up as whether I would get fuel oil in time. However, no problem to Oil Club. One week before Christmas, the order went in & before the end of the week it arrived; and by the small tanker asked for. Not a mark on the drive. Very pleased. We had been urgently called out but no worries, got back and it was there for us. Thanks Oil Club.”

“Like the idea of the heating oil club and liked the price quoted. However, delivery needs to be more clear as "on or before" a date is not easy to accommodate with work commitments and not always able to change when advised that delivery will be a day earlier than expected and also no timescale given. Hope that this can be sorted before our next order.”
