Order process and delivery all straightforward, however my instruction regarding delivery were not passed onto the delivery driver and if I had not been home the oil would have been put into the wrong tank. This would have resulted in many difficulties, including investigating who was at fault and how to rearrange a replacement delivery. This makes me wary of using the oil club for future deliveries. Additionally, this was an under delivery as the tanker ran out of fuel so I await a refund.

Hello Patricia, Any instructions given by our members are passed automatically to the supplier so any failure thereafter is usually an operational issue at the supplier end. We have taken this up with Certas Energy to ensure there is no repeat in the future. Mark. The Heating Oil Club
Ordering online was no issue, as you'd expect. However, the delivery was a day later than I was informed it would be and I specifically requested a phone call before delivery which I never received. The delivery driver was the most miserable person I'd had the misfortune to meet in some time, I'm pleased I never had to ask for any assistance or anything from him as I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing so. So, ordering online would be 5 stars, but given 3 stars because the delivery driver is fronting the business which customers directly deal with, and he certainly didn't want to deal with customers on that day!

All was fine but I do think 3 weeks plus waiting for delivery is not acceptable although I appreciate the current situation makes things difficult. it would be much more helpful if you gave delivery waiting times before ordering stage

Your price was not as competative on my last order with you, in fact you were the most expensive out of three as I discovered later checking. I was most impressed with my initial orders but it reminds me not to take past dealings for granted.

For the first time since I started comparing prices years ago they were cheaper than the competition, however, it took 11 days for the delivery and that was only after a chase phone call to the supplier. Otherwise it would have taken another 5 or 6 days. I shall go back to just using them as a price check.

I'd asked for advanced notice by phone of the delivery, since the oil tank needed to be unlocked. This request was duly ignored, and the driver turned up unannounced at the unruly time of 0750hrs. Pay more attention to your customers' reasonable requests!

Great price on fuel. Understand we are in tough times but when you waited for fuel for a month and after due date passes by a week I just got the response of "you will get it when you get it" when contacting. If you cant keep the deal, dont make the promise.

Thank you for responding to our survey request, I'd like to set the record straight on a few points though. We were very clear about the reasons for the delay, high demand, staff and driver shortages coupled with the need to service those identified "at risk", NHS staff, frontline and key workers. At no point did we say: "you will get it when you get it" - you did however suggest that on your email to us. Unfortunately, during such an unprecedented time, running out of fuel alone was not enough to promote your delivery to a slot ahead of those mentioned. In fairness, you were dissatisfied from the outset and although our suppliers did not update you as they should have, we were swift in our own communications and efforts to resolve things once we knew that you had run out of oil.
It's the first time I have used the Heating oil club but normally when I order oil it comes within 10 days. This took a lot longer and the prices were dropping drastically each week. This made me want to cancel the order as it was still not expected for a while,. It did come but I would rather have had it delivered more quickly

I would just liken add that during the current pandemic, we had hugely increased demand coupled with staff and driver shortages across all suppliers. Under normal circumstances, we endeavour to deliver within 5 working days, that just has not been possible. Our efforts to prioritise those "at risk" plus NHS staff, frontline and key workers has also impacted on those not quite so desperate, though we continue to prioritise those who have run out etc. Prices rise and fall, we advised members that if they did not need an urgent delivery, cancellation followed by a full refund would enable them to reorder at a lower price.
Although the price was the best, the delivery took a long time coming, but the payment was taken on order. It was a good job it wasn't winter. However I will use them again, but check delivery times .... g b t 1944

During the Covid19 Pandemic, al suppliers were under great pressure caused by staff and driver shortages and very high demand. Under normal circumstances, we endeavour to deliver within 5 working days. Currently circumstances just are net very normal. Do please give us another try however, thank you.
Pleased with service overall but felt a slight dis-connect between 'the club' and supplier. This was my 1st purchase and in light of the current circumstances it would be unfair to expect more. The product arrived,at the price stated,and on time.

Happy that price was competitive. Delivery was problematic in that the driver had a leak on the connection between the hose and my threaded filler pipe. He said it was my thread and tightened the screw connector but it still leaked. I said it was the washer on his hose not making a tight connection. I had a delivery a week previous and there was no problem. The leak delivery d not damage the environment as fuel was collected in a bucket.

Took longer than i thought. Before i ordered said in 5 days after i ordered said 9 days. Which was more than disappointing. Other wise was good price.
