“Managed to order just before the 'beast' hit which considerably affected the delivery date and I was forced to drive 25 miles to collect some emergency oil in 20l drums from a mini refinery that fortunately allowed small purchases, albeit rationed per customer. Our order was eventually delivered with no problems and the price I paid was around £40 less for the service offered by the big name oil bulk buying website! I will definitely use again - the online assistance given by Mark re when deliveries would be going out was very good and unexpected.”

“Very good value for money and efficent delivery. Could only be improved by a quicker delivery time: estimated nearly three weeks but arrived in two so not much use for emergency shortages. Would also have been helpful to let us know when they were going to deliver. Minor quibbles maybe and made up by the good price.”

Under normal circumstances we deliver within 5 days but we've been in a period of exceptional circumstances for around 6 weeks now with high demand and bad weather. I think the key for all of our members is to order well in advance - summer and autumn are always good times. Thanks, Mark.

Thanks for the note, we really are trying to maintain a flat, competitive pricing structure. Lead times have been a bit longer due to very high demand and bad weather but all of our suppliers are doing well to catch up. Thanks, Mark.

“You have provided quotes, as well as as one small delivery, throughout the winter period. Your supply price was the very cheapest available and some independent suppliers were charging £50 more for 500 liters. During the present (late February to early March) seasonally cold weather some "discount" clubs (including Boiler Juice) have "been unable to quote for delivery to my post code for 10 days due to high demand. The Heating Oil Club have continued to provide a quote and also offered a delivery date (albeit extended). Finally, I have been appalled by the lack of regulation within the domestic heating fuel market and, having paid around £180 for 500 litres in July 2017 I was quoted £310 for 500 litres in early March by one discount club. The "worst" Heating Oil Club price during the cold spell was £250 for 500 litres. So far then I have found the Heating Oil Club consistent with price and availability of oil and feel that they provide the very best service.”

“I was running low on oil so put an order in for early January, Unfortunately, the cumulative target for a bulk order was not reached so I had to go with another oil club who delivered within a week. I noticed that the oil club target wasn't reached for several more weeks and even then, the price was slightly above what I paid the other supplier. I know it's not the oil club's fault if people aren't putting enough orders in and that prices can fluctuate. Apart from that, I have always had excellent service from the oil club.”
