“Paid for next day delivery, arrived day after that: tracking shows not even collected by courier until end of the next day. Courier delivered it upside down despite having "this way up" on the box: leaving for 48 hours as battery was not treated well by courier and giving everything a chance to settle.”

“Ordering correct item on website was straightforward and said item delivered as required. The issue was that i ordered on saturday morning and free next day delivery if ordered before 3pm was brightly advertised and hence i paid the extra as the need was very urgent and i was hoping sunday or even monday at very latest On reviewing your conditions of delivery i read that weekend orders are not dispatched until monday ( Would friday orders also also be impacted ?) Although you may argue that i should have read the T&Cs it caused a problem Thank you”

“The website and ease of use is excellent. The service was excellent and the prices were super competitive. I only have one issue: Using the number plate input - the website suggested the correct battery for my vehicle. However, it is not the correct battery. Ultimately, it’s my fault for not checking properly. I’d use this site again - because everything else was excellent. Just check and make sure you’re getting the right battery.”

“Helpful web-site; good range and good prices including delivery. Well-packaged. Docked one star though as I paid for next-day delivery but it took an extra day, and another as I didn't get a reply to the email I sent querying the delivery.”

“027 Dynamic Blue Car Battery 55aH (Order #21644) I was happy with the price and the next-day delivery. Thanks. However, the dimensions of the battery on the website says: 242L x 175W x 190H But, the dimensions of the battery that was delivered was: 242L x 175W x 175H Because of the difference in height of the battery, the bracket holding the battery in place in the car no longer fits, which is disappointing.”

“Ordered Friday 12th May, after 3pm, but paid for next day service. Order confirmed Mon 15th, battery arrived weds 17th? Did call on the 17th and ask where it was, , was told "well I don't know why it hasn't arrived, it says it will be today".”

“Good prices, delivery good and reliable. Nice guy but not big on explaining things. Would have preferred more explanation on differences between battery power/size ( volt and ah). Needed battery urgently for important travel and didn't have time for prolonged search. So ended up buying different to original battery and later found I could have got same specs , similar price elsewhere and still don't understand implications of getting a different one. Don't know if could have got like for like as wasn't offered and only 'on sale' batteries came up on search by car reg on the website.”

“Battery was very reasonable price and arrived within 4 days of ordering over a weekend so very happy with that. Unfortunately the package it arrived in wasn’t secure enough and although the outer box was up the right way the battery inside was on its side and out of its own box. The instructions that came with it also seemed to refer to a different type of battery ( one that needed topping up with electrolyte ) which was a bit confusing! Put it on charge for an hour before fitting and bike started first time once fitted so hopefully it’s going to do its job. Overall happy with the service, let down by packaging and instructions.”

“Parcel wasn't delivered on Saturday as paid extra for. Yodel weren't interested. Emailed yourselves and Yodel with this issue. Waited in all day Saturday, with my family. No attempted delivery and no card. No knock on the door. Received other parcels from other organisations. She redelivery, battery is working as it should.”

Hi Joanne, I have investigated this for you and Yodel are saying that there was no one in to recieve the parcel on the Saturday and a card was left. I understand that the review is based on your experience as a whole but "The Battery Guys" done all we could to get the battery there on the Saturday. Would it be possible for you to revise your review? Thanks.

Hi Pamela, I have investigated this for you, the order was placed at 4.28PM on Friday 23rd which is after the cut off time for special deliveries (3PM). This means that the order was dispatched on Monday 26th to be delivered on the 27th. And I can see from the tracking that this is what happened. Thanks.

“Good products at a good price. Service and delivery was rapid. However, a word of warning if you use Apple Pay, you don't get to see the excess delivery charge if you live in that amazingly remote part of the country that is Aberdeen (only the third largest city in Scotland after all..) where they slap an excess delivery charge of £17.50 on.”

“Entered car registration number into website. Ordered recommended battery for my car. It arrived promptly, but didn’t fit because terminal layout was incorrect. Very easy to order the wrong battery. If the website gave both terminal layouts as options for the car, I would been more inclined to check rather than assume the only option offered would fit. Don’t make same mistake as me and assume by entering your car reg you will get the right battery.”

Hi Douglas, I am sorry the delivery took too long. The delivery to the offshore Islands takes longer than on the mainland. I can see the delivery was attempted on the 5th of April and the battery is now making its way back to us. i will process the refund for you now.
