“Payed for next day delivery still haven’t received my battery after 3 days”

Good morning Jason, thank you for your review, I have checked on our system for any communication from you to let us know that you have not received your battery but it seems you didn't let us know that your battery had not arrived. I can see this was dispatched for next day delivery, I have checked for you and can see that there has been a delay with the courier. I can also see that the battery is out for delivery today. in this case we are more than happy to refund your delivery charge which I will arrange for you now. I can only apologise on behalf of the courier for not getting the battery to you on time. This is not our expectation from the courier, although delays can sometimes happen which are beyond our/their control.

“Ordered a Rombat start stop battery left two messages and a contact form within 1hour when the wrong battery arrived (DYNAMIC C) they sent a cheaper non stop start battery. even paid for Saturday delivery at extra charge. Still waiting for a call to arrange a refund. Not able to leave email on their contacts page just a number Had to go out and purchase one elsewhere to avoid not being able to use our Motorhome”

Thank you for taking time to post Barry, Unfortunately we had ran out of stock on the Rombat, however we did upgrade you free of charge from Rombat EFB to Dynamic AGM to ensure you could use your motorhome. (a difference in price of around £50). This decision was taken by our warehouse team as you had ordered near the cut-off for next day delivery, as we take pride in our customer service we did go the extra mile to get you a suitable (even better than ordered) battery for you for next day. Unfortunately you were unable to get a response on the phone on the day of delivery (Saturday) as our phone lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

“I ordered a battery for a Hyundia ionic. I paid for next day delivery. It didn't arrive I had used battery guys in the past and found them very good but on this occasion poor. They made no contact with me to say that they were not able to supply the battery. I later checked my bank and found my money had been refunded. I checked my emails and only found the refund detail in spam. No explanation given.”

“They use Yodel for delivery so good luck getting your parcel. Mine was delivered to a ‘neighbour’ 6 doors away and they never answer when I knock on the door it’s now been 3 days.”

“Took the order and the money quickly. Didn’t respond to emails nor to calls and messages left. Didn’t get the goods guarantees next day as paid for. Would like the money back in full. You did ask for a review, afraid service is poor at best from my experience.”

“Great prices but poor choice of courier company and customer service. Guaranteed next day delivery was not honoured and no further response from emails on how to rectify the situation. Request to write a review poorly timed as would have been more positive if efforts had been made to sort the issue.”

“What a lousy company this is. Avoid like the plague. Ordered a gel battery for my Morgan. Checked carefully on line including using reg number then telephoned them. The helpful young man confirmed the battery was correct and appropriate for my car. Needed battery urgently for MOT. Battery arrived upside down in its totally flimsy cardboard box. Battery acid had leaked, in box and along driveway. Battery put in specific compartment of Morgan, but it was clear battery far to big. In telephoning to make a complaint, spoke to a Manager (Dave) who said the company did not sell get batteries!!!! Obtained a refund, but a phone call to discuss compensation never arrived, even though I had to take this battery to the tip. Non existing customer services and promises not fulfilled! If you cannot trust the advice of these people, then they need to sell something else. Beware!!”

“Placed an order that said the battery was in stock. Received a receipt the next say via email with a refund but no explanation. Assuming the battery was not in stock though! Would not recommend as seems they must not keep the stock they claim. Waiting on my refund”

“I purchased the battery from AJ on May 11th, 2023. The shipping and the service were OK until I wanted to return, as it did not work with my project. I emailed and called, and nobody is calling me back to authorize me to return. He also mentioned the restocking fee, which I asked how much. Please note that the website states we can return any purchase if we are unhappy. I did not see any restocking fee mentioned. But I would be glad to comply. The owner did not call back. I sent emails 3 times and called 4 times. Now I am stuck with a battery I can't use for my project. It is not cheap either - 160. So if you buy anything from this store, don't expect to return. So do your homework. Sometimes I feel it is best to purchase from Amazon and not support local businesses, amazon returns are great, while local businesses don't always honor their company statement.”

“Hi, I purchased my order on 10th May 2023 with next day delivery paid for. Four days later still waiting for it to arrive and I’m still without transport. Probably the delay is due to whoever is the logistics contractor rather than The Battery Guys. Either was no that impressed.”
