“Misled, ignored, and left £700+ out of pocket. Avoid this firm. The Accountancy Partnership took me on for my company and personal tax and then comprehensively failed me. Their accountant, Mark McCormack, flatly told me I "won't need to file" a Self-Assessment as a company director. I didn't just accept it - I questioned it directly. I was waved away. That advice was completely wrong, and it cost me. The deadline was missed. A £100 HMRC penalty landed, then grew to over £700 and is STILL climbing - entirely because of their error, not mine. Worse, they'd never even finished the HMRC authorisation needed to act for me, so they were powerless to fix the mess they'd created. Then came the excuses. I was repeatedly told the matter had been "removed with HMRC." HMRC confirmed that was untrue - it had never been done, and the firm didn't even have the authority to do it. Whether that's incompetence or dishonesty, I'll let others judge; either way it is unacceptable from professionals people trust with their finances. Every reply was a throwaway one-liner. No ownership, no apology, no urgency, no plan - just "chase it yourself" and an HMRC phone number, as if their failure was now my problem to solve. I handed over every document on time and chased for months. The contempt for the client was staggering. Zero competence. Zero honesty about their own mistakes. Zero care. Formal complaint now filed. Do not let this firm anywhere near anything with a deadline.”

“Having paid expensive London accountant’s prices for far too long, I searched for a well reviewed & reasonably priced online accountant and found The Accountancy Partnership. Despite a disappointing start with a junior accounts technician, I was allocated a first class accountant called Lisa who provided extremely knowledgeable accounting expertise. Despite a tight deadline, she filed both my self assessment and company tax returns in time, with meticulous handling of all information and a highly efficient approach. I must say, that Amber in customer care was also extremely professional and practical in her handling of the problems experienced with the first TAP accountant we were allocated.”

“My company was registered, but it cannot be found on Google or supplier databases, which has prevented me from signing up with wholesalers and obtaining credit. Despite valuing this service at £150, when others charge £15 I received no help resolving this and was simply told to deal with it myself. To add to that you are not paying for a premium service either. There is no one or two day turnaround on them submitting your information to companies house after joining the accountancy you will have to wait a while and although it might seem like this service is actually free. If you want to leave the accountancy at any point within the first year, it will cost you £150 on exit for them to have registered your company. I am still within my first month with this accountancy, so I cannot comment on how they handle ongoing accounts. However, this initial experience has been messy, frustrating, and has actively hindered the startup of my business from the very beginning. Wish I had used a different service entirely to register the company so I wasn't stuck on the hook for £150 if I choose to leave”

“A scam company, avoid at all costs. They'll take payment and provide no services, when you realize this and decide to cancel they'll ask for more money to deliver the original service then simply refuse to deliver on any accounting services or issue a refund.”
