“I applied for a non-teaching job at an English school accredited by The British Council. They told me that the TEFL.org certificate is a waste of time as no properly accredited school in the UK would accept it. Waste of money.”

“This is a fabulous course, I really enjoyed it and liked the way it was put together, very easy to follow, but also quite challenging. Thank you to everyone who took part, great teachers and not forgetting the fantastic students and my tutor Arthur. I now feel confident that I'm ready to launch my career as a TEFL teacher.”

“I did the 30 hours TEFL course in Manchester and I learnt a lot in those 3 days, the dynamic of the lessons helped to improve my understanding about the teaching from the point of view of a language student. The location and venue was very good.”

“The course overall is useful, particularly the grammar section. It is a great refresher and a reminder that nowadays we use it easily without much thought and so we can forget how complicated it was when we learned it. The quizzes are helpful to see how much we have retained and what we may need to continue to review. One area of the course I would ask for more improvement on is the phonology unit. More instruction on how to better use the chart and seeing it being taught more in classroom settings would be helpful to fully understand how we could make better use of it. The other area is the assignments. The assignments are a bit too vague, especially understanding what the students know or should know as it is very subjective. I also feel like the assignments should be similar to the lesson plans we watched in the classroom videos. Often I would write my lesson based on the demonstration in the classroom with the student's abilities and would receive feedback that the students wouldn't know or would know something without any clarity before the feedback. I also would like to see a large class being taught if I am to write a lesson plan. Overall it had some helpful tips and tricks, but feel it could be improved by adding more clarity.”

“I have just completed the 120-hour on-line (combined with practical weekend) course. Overall I would say that the course was very good. I was very fortunate to have an excellent tutor for the weekend course alongside a very eclectic, lovely group of people. I found the Grammar section a bit of a slog but completely understand the importance of learning all its contents. I enjoyed the Methodology section of the course and found all its contents valuable and well set out and explained. The Video course at the end felt like a bit of an add-on and some of the quizzes and "bad" lesson examples were too obvious. I felt this part of the course could have been better presented although the brief assignments at the end of each module were useful to do. I did not have any need to contact my on-line tutor other than to send him my assignments which, without fail, were returned in 48 hours as promised. He provided additional suggestions which are useful for lesson planning. I have enjoyed the course and am looking forward to signing up for one or two of the "special" Modules as I am hoping to teach children and on-line.”

“Hi Alan, It was really a wonderful experience to be a part of TEFL team as a student. All the explanations , videos and quizzes were really helpful and they definitely added to my knowledge. I especially want to thank my tutor,Alex, for giving me such thoughtful feedback . Every time he tried to make my assignments better by pointing my mistakes in a very subtle manner and never forgetting to appreciate my efforts.His comments helped me in grooming myself both as a student as well as a teacher.
