The course overall is useful, particularly the grammar section. It is a great refresher and a reminder that nowadays we use it easily without much thought and so we can forget how complicated it was when we learned it. The quizzes are helpful to see how much we have retained and what we may need to continue to review. One area of the course I would ask for more improvement on is the phonology unit. More instruction on how to better use the chart and seeing it being taught more in classroom settings would be helpful to fully understand how we could make better use of it. The other area is the assignments. The assignments are a bit too vague, especially understanding what the students know or should know as it is very subjective. I also feel like the assignments should be similar to the lesson plans we watched in the classroom videos. Often I would write my lesson based on the demonstration in the classroom with the student's abilities and would receive feedback that the students wouldn't know or would know something without any clarity before the feedback. I also would like to see a large class being taught if I am to write a lesson plan. Overall it had some helpful tips and tricks, but feel it could be improved by adding more clarity.
